KJ2 Thermostat

Hi all,

EDIT. Sorry Don't know why I put KJ2 in the subject. It's just a 2002 KJ. No 2.

Can someone take a look at these and verify whether the stat gasket is supposed to stick out this much before installation? The one I pulled out is keyed and also is nearly flush with the housing. I've gotten two different thermostats (Stant and OEM) and both are the same shape, but neither are keyed. I also got a Dorman housing and it is identical to the OEM housing, still keyed, even though the new stats are not.

I posted more about this over at Jeep Forums.

See images.
