New tires make a huge difference

I changed out the stock 225/75R16 Goodyear SA for the 235/70R16 Cooper Discoverer A/T3 and am very happy with the decision.
The tires no longer have a "spongy" feel to them. It seems to have enhanced my feel for the road and I am actually looking forward to running up to my favorite campsite now.
Have any of you changed your tires from the stocks and noticed a similar feel?

I know someone on jeepforum.com had done up a tire chart with a bunch of different sizrs. Also, the rubbing issue varies. Do a search to see if anyone else tried. I stayed with a stock size so no worries for me.

If not, I'm sure there's an inexpensive lift out there.

I kind of doubt it. I have a 2011, just put 245/65/16's on mine last winter. No rubbing, but not much room left. I don't know that I could have gone any bigger without issues.

Back to the OP, I also put the AT3's on mine - the ride & handling differences were incredible. The Liberty is never going to be confused for a smooth riding vehicle, but it really made it more enjoyable to drive. The stock tires - Wrangler ST's - are one of the worst tires I've experienced - absolute garbage. I've had a lot of SUVs & different SUV tires over the years, I can honestly say that the AT3's are the best I've owned.
