Transmission codes

I have a 2005 Liberty Limited, I am having trouble with the transmission, but not all the time. The check engine light came on, the code indicated a P0733 and P0700, anybody know what a P0733 could be?

Re: Transmission codes

The P0733 code means that there is an incorrect gear ratio in 3rd gear. That normally means a slipping clutch. (the transmission controller knows how the rpm ratio between input and output must be for each gear, so can easily detect a slipping clutch).
How does the fluid looks like? Level and smell/color? Too low fluid level can cause a low line pressure with a slipping clutch as a result. A too high fluid level can cause air being mixed in the fluid by the moving parts, with a low line pressure as well.
When the level is ok, but the fluid is black or smells burnt, then most probably a clutch is burnt and the transmission must be opened.
