2000 Cherokee engine swap

1st time poster, so i hope to get some good info - my 2000 Cherokee 4X4 just died on me and i found a guy with a wrecked 2005 Cherokee with a Hemi engine with 77K miles on it. He is asking $2,000 for the whole truck and i was wondering was it worth the money or should i just leave it alone. I haven't seen the truck except for some pics and it appears that the intake is missing.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: 2000 Cherokee engine swap

that will be a huge job .I don't believe any of the v8 swap kits /parts are for hemi conversions . from what I understand the normal chevy and mopar v8's are a tight fit in an xj, the hemi is wider so it's probably that much more difficult . you could do it ,however I bet it will take quite a bit of both time and money ......... would be sweet though .
