Best Way To Drain Fuel Tk. 89 Cherokee

I bought an 1989 Jeep cherokee 4.9 liter fuel injected thats been sitting for about 2 years and the gasoline is starting to go bad. What is the quickest way to drain the tank. Cannot access through the filler cap. I was hoping to somehow attach a long fuel line either before or after the fuel filter and let the fuel pump pump it out Any Help Thanks Sandy

LOL Ya... I knew someone was going to say that .. Can't spill any of this stinky varnish or my landlord will freak.. I was hoping to attach a 2 foot or so fuel line right at or just before the fuel filter and by turning the ignition on and off be able to pump the almost 3/4 of a tank of this crap into a 5 gal gas cans and safety take them to the recycle center

Re: Best Way To Drain Fuel Tk. 89 Cherokee

You could also remove the filler hose from the side of the tank and siphin it out that way. Once you get the filler hose off it's all open tank from there.
