help with parts id

help I am trying to figure out what this is (silver cylinder under dash next to relay box) see pics my other question is the blower control switch went bad and burned up the plug any source of the plug I took 3 dashes apart today at the junk yard (all the had) and every plug was burned

Not sure about the cylindrical part, looks almost a condensator.
For the plug, rockauto.com has quite some wire repair kits.

The cylinder looks like a signal flasher relay. turn on signal and see if it clicks,turn on hazzard lights and check if it clicks!!
