Re: HIDs on An XJ?

Nobody has mentioned the Headlamp Delay Module, on some model XJs it can cause your lights to come on after the car has been shut off and stay on until the battery dies. I didnt have this problem in my 99 Classic, but a friend did in his 00 Classic. We corrected it by unplugging the delay module located behind knee bolster on the left side. There may be other solutions to the problem, but we did this and it worked.

Looks like this:

Re: HIDs on An XJ?

What I did (H4 Conversion):

1. AutoPal E-Code Lenses (Ebay) = $20
2. ARB Headlight Harness = Pricey but there are extremely cheap aftermarket options.
3. PIAA Xtreme Bulbs - I wanted a blueish tint to the bulb.

The results were phenominal. Unfortunately the large sealed beams really aren't designed to properly scatter light with a solid cutoff points for HID's. My installation 110% lit the road up and I'm only running 55/65W bulbs.
