Re: New project:

looks good, i think if you tinted all the windows except the ones in the front it might have a bit more curb appeal and is only an investment of ~130 bucks. but thats JMO... good luck with the sale!

Re: New project:

I agree it would probably look a little better, but you have to realize that I won't get $130 more for it.

Hell it really needs new wipers, but I won't get $20 more for it if I spend $20 on new wipers. It sucks, but thats how it goes.

not necessarily... more curb appeal means you got more eyes on the jeep... which means you should be able to sell it faster... which means less time paying for advertising... which means less stress selling the jeep... and so on

Yes thats true, but you gotta understand, this ain't my first rodeo. The $8 can of black paint that I used about 1/3 of does more for the appearance of the Jeep than the $200 worth of tires and wheels did.

While it may improve the look a bit, or quite a bit, its not like someone is going to see my ad and go "oh I'm not sure" and then in a parallel universe where the windows were tinted go "ok I'll send an email about it"

People are emotional beings and they need to fall in love with a vehicle. The tinted windows might help that, but I wouldn't see that back in a monetary return.

Don't get me wrong, I totally understand the thought process, and I can understand the value, but I've been doing this long enough to get a sense of what gets me my money back and what doesn't.

Re: New project:

Can you let us know what you get out of it? I'm curious what a high mileage XJ like that will bring...

Great job with the flip! The paint looks 1000 times better.

Re: New project:

$3500

It had a fairly long list of relatively minor things that needed attention, so I'm happy with that price.
