Vibration in steering wheel

Hi, JEEP tells me that the vibration I get at 38-45 miles per hour is the normal characteristic of the transmission or they do not feel the vibration when test driving. I have had the tires rebalanced and rotated checked all wheels etc. Does anyone else have or had this problem and if so how was it resolved. Thanks pete

Re: Vibration in steering wheel

Most vibration issues reported here involve tire balance or wheel issues. This is with the 20 inch wheel and in a speed range of 65-75 mph.

If you're confident that they checked balance and the wheels are true the next thing to look at would be the drivetrain U and CV joints and wheel bearings.

Transmission? Possible but I'd rule out the above first. Do you drive in ECO mode in that speed range? If so, turn it off and see if the vibration goes away.

Re: Vibration in steering wheel

Thank you, but all that was checked twice by two different dealers. I am not sure if I have ECO in my vehicle. I have a 2014 Cherokee 6 cyl limited
