Yeah pretty big plans! I'm gonna go with 33's instead of the 31's but I was thinking about going for 5" lift and adding on to my 3.5" with front spacers and rear shackles. Not sure if it's the best idea though. Or should I just stay with the 3.5" and cut fenders for the 33's.
Quasi-tucked??? Unfamiliar with that phrase. Yeah it a DD, I really wanna find another I6 and build it just for a back up, then when I get done making it nice and shinny I can really see what the current I6 can handle. I don't know. I sure have fallen head over heels for my xj.
Not a problem, if you have any questions or need any advise on XJ stuff feel free to ask me. ive had 4 of them ranging from stock 87 xj to lifted 94, lifted 95 and lifted 98 on 35s. I did all my own work except for gearing my axles and i still have a ton of info if needed.
The Bushwackers are a great add. I have them on mine. They are not as easy to install as the instruction sheet states, or at least if you have other aftermarket goodies like I do. Just take your time and you will be fine. I actually finished mine up with Herculiner to dress up all of the cuts and the metal under the flares to keep the rust in check. Of course, I compleatly coated my underside and my rockers, but that's another thread.
I cut out the rear fenders on my xj on the outer edge of the stock fender flares and it fits 32" no lift and removed the front fenders. Going to build tube flares
