As per the other topic on this in the forum, I would say that Jeep in the US have either had a number of complaints or have found out that Jeep Aust are forcing 10k/6 Months services for warranty and have told them to change it for the CRD's.

We will see in the coming months if this is true...

I might wait until my service light comes on. Why should we be forced to have a service every 6 months or 10,000km when the car will apparently tell use when it needs some love.
Personally I think 20,000km is too much for a turbo car, as they tend to sludge up faster than NA cars.

I tend to agree on oil change frequencies. I would be more than happy to change oil every 10k, but I dont think it involves a service. I also think that $400 is a ripoff for an oil change at a dealership.

Totally agree! Isn't it supposed to have a duty cycle based maintenance scheduling system? That should be far more cost effective than a one size fits all schedule.

Until we hear (if we hear) otherwise I think that we are tied to to the 10k service increment to maintain warranty for the engine. Should there be a claim I suspect that it would be CJD Australia making the decision on warranty, not CJD U.S.

Are we equally tied to a timeframe? Mine is due this month but I have only 7300km up?

Btw they want to charge me $549.78 for a 10K service might be worth my while driving up to Sydney? Any positive reviews cost/service?

I would tell them to shove their $550 up their coit. That is a sever ripoff.
Unless you have warranty work, go to a local mechanic, as you only need logbook service not dealer gold plated bullshit service.
Jeep cannot dishonour the warranty if you do not get it serviced with them.

I think that technically you are tied to the 6 month time frame according to the warranty service book.

Regarding $550 for a 10k service is simply off the planet for what is essentially an oil & filter change plus a tyre rotation (if they even do it).

If getting someone else to perform the service make sure that the oil meets the required specification outlined in your owners manual. There are only a few oils available that actually meet the spec.

Yes that was what I was thinking.. I was going to purchase Shell Ultra which meets all the requirements..

I should actually check if I was given a log book..

just remembered I was getting the tow hook installed as I'm Eligible maybe I'll ask how much the cost will come down if they allow me to supply my own oil.

Bulletin -024-12 is only for minivans, it addresses an issue with backwards street names on the minivan navigation radios.

These are 2 totally different bulletins, for different radios and different faults:

026-12 is the REW/REX radio Flash for Bluetooth mute/radio lockup battery drain.
