Glad you got a good result and a better price. Pity Dealers are trying to rip off us owners. If they want to charge Euro service prices, they should provide a service level of Euro dealers. Anyone here who has owned a Euro car will know the level of service is a significant step above the Jeep/Ford/Holden places.
You can add Honda to the list. Pricy but meticulous, not pushy and you could eat off their workshop floor if you were so inclined. As for nailpolish... I don't use it a lot

Re: 10,000km Service CRD

Don't you just hate the feeling of not getting what you paid for! CJD Aust are a very long way off from guaranteeing quality controls (similar to Euros and some Jap manufacturers) over their maverick dealerships! They need to wake up!

Mine says 12000kms or Jan. The sticker was put on after its 1 month check on Monday last week. CRD.

12,000 it is then. Might mention it to the dealer when my replacement parts arrive just in case there is a warranty loophole (although the mistake would be theirs?)

Re: 10,000km Service CRD

I assume your oil didn't get changed at 1K quicklook? mine didn't. So so I would be somewhat concerned pushing to 12K before an oil change.

I had my 10K service at 7.5K (6 months up) so my next scheduled service according to sticker is 18K..

No fluid changes. The 1 month check isnt a CJD nominated service either. It's just a dealer offering to go over the vehicle.

Mine wont make 12000 my January anyway, More in the range of 6500-7500kms. We were planning an Adelaide trip in October but that looks to be off for the time being.

Re: 10,000km Service CRD

For those who have reached 10,000km, is there any difference in CRD engine tone compared to new? (eg: more noisy). Also at what point did you experience diesel mileage gains (engine break in )?

Looks like Savvas and myself have had the same "service". No oil change, just an inspection (waste of a freakin hour as the work truly required was and still is 6 weeks later, missing parts).

Re: 10,000km Service CRD

The 1000km "free service" is akin to a free lunch......there ain't no such thing! I didn't bother going the the trauma myself.

In my case, no real change in noise though I must admit I was a little more conscience of that old diesel rattle a few thousand k's ago. STill can't hear it in the cab which was the main reason for going with the CRD (my first ever diesel car) otherwise after driving all 3 engines I would have chosen the hemi over the penstar.

Mileage gains have been consistent since day #1. I don't take the EVIC ratio seriously, I simply do the sums after each fill (kms vs litres) and I always come up with circa 8.5 - 9lts /100kms - excellent given the weight of the weight of the GC.
