100,000km Bye bye warranty!

Yep, during the week 100k rolled over, some folk told me it would stop, being a Jeep and all.... but Ha, its still going strong, drives as nice as it did when new. Engine hour meter shows I've being enjoying my Jeep for 1296hrs of trouble free motoring, well almost, though I think the only thing that really failed was the rear flipper glass switch, apart from a bunch of upgrades that happened at its first service thats been it. Oh, it does have discoloured DRL's, showed them at the 96k service, waiting to hear back from the gods at HQ. But as for the rumors of the quadralift falling apart at fifty thousand miles, and the rest of the car for that matter, not true, still tight as drum no rattles and its done plenty of off road touring. It's still on original disc pads all round, even got 70k out of the original Kumho's although they had plenty of plugs in them, the Cooper LTZ's I have on now are great off road but on road after 30k seem to be getting noisier every week to the point now they're starting to bug me.... Well, gee, hope I haven't jinxed myself here heaping praise on my JGC now its outa warranty, sure seems like it will be the same in another 100k..... Might just go out check it still starts!

Congratulations Mate Good write up and info. I've got another 75k to go but good to know they are standing the test of time. Interesting also on the Kumho's. Mine looked shot a 20k but look to have not got any worse since....might have another 10k on them!! Here's to the next 100k

Nice work! I think jeep just had a bit of a crappy name from the older models but the WK2 outshines the merc's n porsche cayennes in my opinion.
I've done around 11,500km in my 2011 and the only thing I have had go wrong is the handbrake light switch needed to be adjusted.

The kumho's at my km's still look brand new and I drive the thing hard too.. I reckon there must be a good n bad batch of tyres on these things.

My Kumos were just replaced with Coooper AT3's. Kumos went 40 and still had tread but was tired of all the punctures! 5 in a year and a half.

I'm very impressed with everything you have said but surely you are pulling our legs at getting 70k out of the Kumhos, or did you mean 70 km . Did you really take the Kumhos off-road and still get that mileage?

Our original Kuhmos are coming up to 50k but will likely be replaced at that time. To get 70k I suspect that may involve a lot of straight road highway mileage.

Nah, nothing to gain by by exaggerating things here, doesn't help anyone.... sure I do plenty of commuting up and down the coast but also been through the Victorian highlands a couple of times, Tom Grogin trail etc, Armidale to Kempsey trails, Buladelah Mountains, spent a weekend out near Mudgee at my brothers property getting punctures, following him around, plus plenty of day trips in my local area, we are surrounded by State forests and national Parks here.... So, dunno if thats alot of offroading, but its some....
