Fine to use existing ones. Only need to use different ones if they are old.

Re: 18" Wheels and AT Tyres

Ok, do you know if the steel spare comes with one? If not I'll need to order a sensor for my new spare rim, if the system allows 5 to connect....

Otherwise I might not include the spare rim in the rotation....

Actually you only need to change the base, not the TPMS itself.

For the cost, it makes better sense to leave the existing ones in the rims and buy another set. The redundant rims are more saleable if equipped, and moving the TPMS bases around is not recommended unless they are quite fresh.

I don't believe the spare is equipped.

Cheers,
Steve

Ok, thanks for the info. Can the run of the mill tyre fitter fit these sensors, or something you would get a Jeep service tech to do?

Nah, a careful wheel tech in a properly equipped workshop should have no problems.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: 18" Wheels and AT Tyres

Cool, I'll have to see what the dealers charge for a set of sensors....

$125 or something outrageous each.

Get on eBay and buy a set from "Wheel Man" for under AU$100.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: 18" Wheels and AT Tyres

Excellent, I don't like buying from ebay US, unless someone else has been successful....

Ciao,
Steve

Re: 18" Wheels and AT Tyres

lol, dealer doing a good price on the rims wanted $320 for 4 sensors.... hello ebay!

I wonder if they come as a set of 4, and they were pricing me for 16 in total?
