The spider monkeys are the pre 14 srt rims rite? Genuine?

Not going to clean it as I like the tough new look!!

How is the noise level and fuel economy on your pre 14 since the nittos.

I have Nitto's 275/55/20 so quite a bit bigger with a lift and I never baby it so that would contribute as well to the consumption.

Noisy. I didn't opt for the alignment as mine were fine with even wear on the last set, or pulling.

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

Maybe your alignment is out if they are noisey the rear can be out and create noise. I would say mine are noisey for an all terrain.

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

The factory tyres are optimised for the test drive... that's why they are quiet, but wear pretty fast.

Whilst there are definitely "bad" tyres, traction off road pretty much equals noise on road. Turn up the tunes.

Cheers,
Steve

We'll see how it goes. Just dropped them down from 44psi to 34psi.. More of a humming sound like your typical land cruiser sounding driving past. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1426848389.066758.jpg

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

That's interesting imaz because they are meant to be a fairly soft compound AT - supposed to be quiet.
I'd get a proper alignment done.

I'm quite certain my alignment is rite but I'll get it checked again this week at the 4x4 suspension shop.

Lugs seem quite tough for off-road rather than soft. Yeh I know the nitto website seem to rate them 4/5 for quietness. I'd rate them 2-3/5 . I'll be quiet sure all other a/t and l/t to be worst though. Anything below 90km/h it's noticeable, above that it is compensated with wind noise/engine.
