Re: 20" Tyre Thread

Did an upgrade to 20x9 Factory Repro's and 295/45/20 Yokohama Parada Spec-X. Ran them for about 7K and still showing great tread and rides smoothly. Also liking the stance.

I was worried about the that too. A sharp rock could wedge itself between the brake calliper and rim and slice the rim open like a can opener. I guess it could happen with 20's too, it just needs a bigger rock. Anyway, I haven't yet heard of this being a problem so maybe it isn't but it sure would be nasty if it happened.

Hey Phil, how is the noise compared to original tires?

Cheers, Craig

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

Did you have to lift it for the tires with he quad lift or leave it at the normal level? I don't have QL and really like these tires.

Hi All,

Looking at fitting a set of 285/50/20 Pirelli Scorpion All Season as they are cheaper than the 265/50/20.

Any thoughts

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

The other one that I am looking at in OZ is Bridgestone 697 or I think they call it the revo in the states. Looking at 285/60/18.

I have D697's. They were the only OEM sized LT's available at the time. I have 37,000km on then now and there is probably another 10,000km left. The US revos have the identical tread but I suspect the compound and maybe even the carcase will be optimised for US conditions rather than OZ.

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

The last set I had on a Prado I sold with 60k on the speedo and 10/15 at least left in the tyres.

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

anyone on here interested in making a decent offer on these near new tires
Kumho Crugen, KL33 265/50R20, only done 10k and i removed them for bigger tires. only had bitumen use, i would expect to double if not tripple the life over the KL21 with these as they are a much heavier compound.

full set of 4 plus 2 KL21 as spares, 6 tires all up. i originally paid $330ea.

cheers
