Re: 20" Tyre Thread

Thanks mate.

They are a tad noisier than the khumos they feel just as smooth, if not more.

You could try oewheels. They sell some coopers. Send them an email.

Ended up paying $300 fitted and balanced (missed the exc GST on quote) from Taleb Tyres in Sydney. Waited a good 5weeks delivery though.

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

Hi guys,

I was able to find some NANKANG SP7 275/55R20 for a good price here in Brunei. Do you guys know anything about this brand? Is it considered okay? My stock Kumhos are almost done with 40+k KMs on them.

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

They are or were an division of Yokohama, but are a budget brand. I would not expect them to be better than the OEM Kumhos. I would give them a go, but do not expect great things from them.

Thanks for the info. Maybe I will be looking to buy a set of Yokohama Parada 285/50R20 instead. Although I have a 2012 Limited GC with stock 20inch wheels. Will they fit on the stock wheels? We don't have many alternatives here for 20inch tires. It's between Yokohama, Nankang and Falken.

40k out of the Kumhos! That should go down in the Guinness Book of Records.

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

yeah mine have 23k km on them and they are almost toast. I would get the Yokies, they are a great tyre. Unfortunately tirerack.com will not ship them to Australia, as they are my first choice for replacements.

Thanks for the tip. Just one more thing though, the Yokohama tyres only come in 285/50R20 here. Would I be able to use them on my limited GC's stock 20x8 wheels?

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

Apparently they will fit. Best to check with the tyre place, but tirerack says it will fit OEM wheels.

They look unreal.

As I was driving back from the tyre shop, a bloody stone chipped my windscreen!
Called insurance, so hopefully they'll be able to find one soon..
It's not a bad chip, but there is a slight crack which I'm worries about spreading.
Make sure that they don't try to replace it with an aftermarket windscreen.

I had mine replaced recently after a stone chip. From memory, it cost the insurance about $1600 for an oem windscreen plus freight from the states plus fitting. Took around three weeks to get it shipped.
