2012 - v6 engine hiccup

As above, sitting at the lights, I felt and heard the engine have a hiccup for half a second. Almost too quick for me to notice any drop in rpm tachometer. *It's done 20,000, 2012build.

Could have been several things, including as drop of dirt in the fuel.
I would not be too concerned at this stage.
If anything really out of the ordinary, the computer will pick it up and display a warning. Should it be repeated, it would be worthy of taking to a dealer. However, unless there is a fault registered, or they can reproduce it, you know what the response will be.

Are you sure it is not the Aircon kicking in ?
Mine makes a shudder (known problem) sometimes when the aircon kicks in.

Dont know. Could be an accessorie... I hear a grown of the compressor again, and been happening very randomly even though it has been cold these couple months. The grown of the compressor sound is now externally rather than a grown from the evap(in dash grown).

So, could it be a compressor causing the idle hicup, maybe?

Almost had enough with all these crap you would find on low end cars. The new MY14 is looking very nice on the horizon! If only change over was $1.

Following your thread on remote start. Sure you haven't got remote stop?

I'd keep an eye on things especially if the groan is back. Are there signs your serpentine is slipping? I'm on my second compressor and I too think the noise is coming back!!

I havent checked under the bonnet since the last compressor fitment. Its not as easy to replicate the problem, or "know" when it is likely to happen. Unlike before, you could almost guess it will happen.

I wonder what it really is... Can it really be a compressor issue? Maybe it is just a design flaw which causes rattle vibration through the cooling pipes.
