Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

Looks good Dallas.

I have very dark tint on mine. Have always had dark tint on all my cars and never had any issues.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them up.

That would be great. Always good to see how others are looking.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

Interesting comments about the wheels. I have just bought 4 standard 18inch rims (second hand but almost brand new) - I want to put them on when I am towing the van in remote areas. I would be happier with the higher profile rubber, and if I need replacements in the bush, I'm guessing 18 inch will be easier than 20's. I am getting the rims powder coated gloss black though - I need to keep the "look"!!!!! Cost me $400 for the rims and $300 for powder coating. I have also just ordered 4 TPMS sensors from the States ($56 USD delivered). I believe the sensors have to be coded by a Jeep service centre to your car. I'll work that out later.

Nah... they sort themselves out automatically.

Cheers,

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

As promised here are some pictures of my black tank. Done 1200kms now in 2 weeks and absolutely love it. Actually had to put fuel in it for the first time a couple of days ago

Overall very happy with it. Couple of minor warranty issues that the dealer is sorting at the free checkup service once I get time to take it to them.

Have not seen many pictures of the molded Mopar side steps so have included a few to show how they look.

Before any says anything, yes both the front and rear number plates were installed crooked by the dealer ......I fixed them after taking the pictures.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

Looking good!

Could I trouble you for a photo directly horizontal to the ground at the height of the bottom of the steps... including the amount the brackets hang down?

I really want to fit steps to prevent the stone damage I got on my first MY14, but they all sit lower than I'd like.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

Don't you find with the side steps that when you get out after driving through mud you end up with it on the side of your leg and worse still the mrs complains when she gets her pants dirty I would rather the stone chips I think

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

Looking good XTRMn8.
How do you go with those SideRunners?...I went for the black tubular ones (I'll post more pics) and they look great but a bit on the thin side so they need a bit of getting used too.
I'm thinking off investing in some door entry guards as I've had friends almost misstep the runners and straight onto the door entry (horror, lol).
