Are you sure? This was from a relatively short stint on gravel roads... with mudflaps fitted. Check out how far up the bodywork they go.

Cheers,

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

Just bought the door entry guards off eBay for approx $115 delivered. Local dealer wanted $215 plus fitting 0.0

I reckon I'll go darkest legal too Madmick, yours looks good enough for me, just never know if insurance guys look for an excuse on not paying out if I go darker.

I really want to fit steps to prevent the stone damage I got on my first MY14, but they all sit lower than I'd like.

Cheers,
Steve
Thanks Steve. I'll get a photo for you and also measure the clearance to underside or step and bracket. Otherwise you are welcome to come have a look them in person.

I think I'll be fitting some mud flaps as well to stop sand and rock from flicking up and chipping paint. I found some smaller molded mud flaps that don't hand as low so will give them a crack.

I have no issue with them as they do not protrude very far so I can step over them when getting out. Wife is the one who wanted side steps so no compiling from her plus they are great for kids too.

I could not imagine mud on it to be honest, still to new to get it muddy

I agree with you though that mud and dirt could be an issue for anyone who cant step over them or on them when getting in/out.

How do you go with those SideRunners?
Thanks Dallas. I too was going to go the black tubular side steps until I found these. I really do not like the look of any of the chrome ones I have seen. I took the plunge with these molded Mopar ones as I only seen a couple of pictures and I am very happy with them, especially the semi integrated look.

Thanks Madmick. We get a lot of scorchers here in the west too, but the last two wife's cars have been black so I know what I am in for with the black GC. Also the AC in GC is sensational so should not be too much of an issue.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

Hutch, I got mine fitted with the sale along with the muddies. Dealer fitted. Seems like they've done a decent job.

Hutch, I got mine from Jeeepart Recyclers in Hervey Bay QLD. Best price I could find in Australia by $100's.

They had both the tubular and molded Mopar side steps and had stock of both when I bought mine a few weeks ago.

Here you go mate, I did not take pictures of the rear bracket measurements.

At front bracket:
- ground to underside of bracket is approx 225mm
- ground to underside of side step is approx 280mm

At rear bracket:
- ground to underside of bracket is approx 240mm
- ground to underside of side step is approx 295mm

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

True Madmick. There pretty slick but it's just a quick learning curve to step and pivot on your ball of your foot so it's parallel before you get in.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

I just checked out the instruction manual for the Rear View camera at justjeeps.com and I'm a lil nervous taking it into the local dealer to get this part fitted. So far (apart from them not mentioning that the camera was not installed) they've been great. But other GC owners in town say that they've (dealership) only bust their cherry on Jeeps, so not too much experience and to take it to Bundy instead.

Did you guys pick your Blackhawks up with Rear View cams on settlement?

Dallas, mine was fitted when I took delivery.

All Laredo and Blackhawk cameras are dealer fitted as they are not fitted at the factory.
