Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

That's not a bad price for the nudge by the looks of that supplier Greens. The $2500 for full bars from ARB is a squeeze at the moment but $400 for nudge is more do-able. Doesn't look too overpowering either.

So may bugs around at the moment that a bonnet protector might be a go or is buying a decent sealant a better investment, such as a DIY kit from http://www.carcarecoatings.com.au/pr...l.asp?prod=006. Ohhhh decisions. One thing is for sure is that I'm not keen on spending my weekends cleaning/polishing.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

The Bossco Nudge bar is useless for those of us with parking sensors, the Chief one looks to be the first to be parking sensor compatible. Originally I was thinking of one, as we had one on the Pajero, but I prefer the cleaner look.

Just looking at my front for pre nudge bar placement and noticed that there's a cut out on just above the lower front air dam( not sure what it's called) is this standard on new BH jeeps?ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1412743058.668423.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1412743074.148012.jpg

Not a mechanic but I looked under the bonnet to show a mate what's under the hood and he noticed that the pipe from the steering wheel fluid reservoir was loose and actually touching/rubbing against the silver block (not sure of its name but sharp edges and real damn hot after a run) and it's slightly worn away the mesh cover and cut into the tube.
The 1st pic shows it more clearly as I moved the tube away from the silver, hot block and the 2nd pic was how it was prior to touc.
No doubt that if it carried on it would have spewed everywhere. Looking at it neither the top or bottom clips were in place.
It's going in to the shop next week for its 1000km service so I'll touch them up on it but thought to mention it here just for others to check theirs.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

Just put an oily rag on that hot, sharp corner and she'll be right.

Note: this is an in-joke from about 12 months ago

That's what I was hoping the feedback would be, but just having an OCD moment or is it CDO alphabetically?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

Yeah the OEM emergency eyelet goes in the small hole on one side.

Both the cut-outs come off for manly tow hook and nudge bar installation. They are best removed when the lower air dam is removed...

The plastic screw clip at the top wasn't clipped in so I pushed that through and looking at it I reckon the tube would be better about 50mm shorter from the reservoir to stop it from pushing way out. Otherwise maybe just a pre-check miss on first collection...along with my torch not working...and the rear assist cam missing, lol...otherwise it purrs along.
