Standard time frame for all Jeep Aus issues is at least 6 weeks plus two weeks. Then it is another two weeks, then another 2 weeks, then another 2 weeks…………….

It's made of aluminium.

I've recently bought from the following and everything turned up okay Madmick. Not sure if they've got bonnet protectors: http://stores.ebay.com/Falls-Motor-City-Parts

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

Still thinking about whether to get exterior paint protection to save waxing. Meanwhile just wondering what others are using/doing to clean their Blackhawk 20" alloys from brake dust and ridding tar/bugs off paint.. and with what brushes?
I'm pricing stuff up on Adams and am beginning to wonder if I'd be better of buying shares in the company first?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

Dallas, I wouldn't, we got suckered in and got it on the first jeep, if u scratch the car and polish it out then u have to reapply etc...more of a pain in the arse then polishing yourself every six months. As for the wheels when I wash the car I spray all underneath, wheel arches and wheels and tyres with CT18 truck wash. Takes the grime/dirt off then use CT20 carwash for the rest of the car.

If you use the code JEEP10 then you will get 10% off. I use all Adam's stuff as it's great stuff and they are supporters of this website. Not cheap, but it works. That said I did just buy a bottle of Bowdens own wheel cleaner from Supercheap because it got highly recommended here, and with a 20% off sale and SC membership deal it only cost me $5. Still haven't used it though.

CT14 is a degreaser, I am sure that was just a typo, please nobody wash their car with it. CT18 is a wash, CT20 is a wash and wax.
Lot's of people use CT18 to strip the wax of their car when they're prepping it, so no good for everyday washes even though they claim it is PH neutral. All wash and wax combos do neither properly so should be avoided.

I buy the Adam's shampoo and Quick Detailer in the gallon bottle and it works out far more economical than the smaller bottle of course.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Blackhawk

I've used Adams glass cleaner & sealant but I think I'm using too much. Just need to adjust the amount. Also the tyre cleaner but it doesn't seem to rid the brake dust too well. Might have to use a bit more elbow power on that! And Born to be Mild shampoo which doesn't seem to move bugs but I think this is me being too light on the mitt while washing.
My next step is to try and keep it looking good after a wash which only seems to last for a couple of days due to the salt air, bugs, dust and constant fruitbat crap! (We don't have a garage on site yet)
So looked at Adams Carnauba Wax & Brilliant Glaze combo as well as CarCareCoatings ceramic polymers. Adams is slightly cheaper but needs continued applications.
After checking my neighbours car while he gave it a quick wash, he had some dealership coating applied and even after 2yrs it still beads, so I'm kinda leaning more to the ceramic coating for $200 D.I.Y. Just because I'm lazy.
