I think that should be DPF. Diesel particulate filter.

Yeah, sorry. Must have been reading something about dividend reinvestment program's at the time
Like Coreys's new terminology for distances - I assume 12Mm means 12 million metres or 12,000 km

Or 12 mega-metres - same thing though. M is a standard S.I. prefix

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi guys. We're back! Internet allowance was very limited during our trip so I couldn't post. I have to say all my worrying was for nothing.

The Jeep performed brilliantly for 27,000km! We did a tagalong tour to Cape York and impressed dedicated Toyota owners with it: no snorkel, no side steps and road tyres all the way. No problems! Stony, slippery creek crossings and sooooo many corrugated roads: all good!

Fantastic for towing. We averaged 14l/100km all the way. Plenty of power, no dramas. Shared the road with road trains, very professional. ( except the guys out Condobolin way: 1 smashed driving light and 1 windscreen chip on the same, day, same stretch of road, 2 different trucks. Grrrr. Any idea how I can track down a driving light cover?)

We've worn out the rear latitude tyres but that's understandable. The best part about our decision to buy a Jeep was the comfort we enjoyed. Soft seats and customised heating and cooling. The car really did perform well. :

Brilliant Buster. Thanks for the update. I did wonder over the last few months where you had got to and how things were going.

Pics?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Good to hear Buster, the last I read about the headlights was that it was a complete unit, and no separate cover. That was from someone looking into separate protectors on AJOR. They quoted some crazy price to replace the headlight unit. I hope they weren't right.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I have a passenger side headlamp... the back of it is broken but the lens is OK.

That said, reading the post I understood that the part required is for a "driving light", not a headlamp?

Cheers,
Steve
