Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I took was looking at the non premium LED kits the other night as well. Jeep Grand Cherokee LED Interior Package (2011-Present)

Am I missing something or does the kit not include LEDs for front reading lights?

The reading lights are hard soldered, you can only swap out the Map lights.

The 5730 is very bright but I replaced them with the coloured LED's, now have an awesome red glow. If you only want white light then the standard kit will do.
So same amount of LED's in both kits just different types?
Its not that the Premium gives you more lights, they are just a brighter which personally I see no need for in a car

Be nice if they had some bright strip lighting in a decent length that I could install underneath as Rock Lights

Yessum, same amount of LED's in both kits, next project is puddle/entry lights, these I will keep white.

Yes this is correct, they are already LED's (warm light output).

Wow, 3,800km's a week there Murray. Thats a good commute youve got going.

And after all those K's how's it going? Any probs? Towing? Where are you? Would get another one??

Know how you feel, love mine too. Only 15,000k's in 12 months. 10,000k's towing. This will be my last tower, should last me out the way its going. No probs yet.

Yep, the Laredo was abit mundane for me too so I tricked mine up with the chrome lower grille, chrome summit grille inserts and blacked out like an SRT. Wouldnt think its a Laredo now.

Apart from the bullbar and the hotwheels what else have you done to it?

Bluey

Hello Bluey.
I use mine for work and pleasure. I drive it every day.
The only time that I did not drive it for a day I forgot to unplug the fridge. Flat battery. Bugger.
But you should see the size of these new jumper packs.
My Overland has been flawless except for the crap mileage out of the original kuhmo's.
The only further mod will be a UHF,
as I have a heavily modified GU patrol for the scratchy bush stuff.
This Jeep will last me until the 6.2 SRT is released in a year or 3.
I have always been a petrol head.
Regards Murray

Oops, forgot to mention, I tow from a 6x4 with an excavator hammer in it to a 750cfm compressor, a car trailer with a 4wd on it or a 2500 litre water cart.
I get 900 to 1000 Kays per tank, but don't tow every day.
I know why so many people own them now.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hey. I'm awaiting delivery of a 2014 GC limited. Should be here in late November. While waiting, I bought a pair of used but good condition mopar side steps from eBay. Part Number
82212129. Will these fit a new 2014 GC? I've seen the new part numbers with AB and AC on the end? Are these parts different?

If you supply a link to the actual ebay listing then we can see and advise.
