It's hilarious! Pachifich Mmtwwuu... Or Pacific Mtwy according to uconnect.

Can we change her annoying voice?

There is a service bulletin to fix that. I turned her off before I drove the car of the lot, so I have never had the pleasure of listening to weird pronunciations.

http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_0808414.pdf

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with UConnect 8.4 AM/FM/BT/NAV (sales code RJ4) built on or before January 04, 2014 (MDH0104XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
A customer may experience, one or more of the following conditions:
Audio turn instructions do not pronounce the Street Names correctly.
The audio turn instructions do not pronounce the Street Type.

DIAGNOSIS:
If the customer describes the symptom, perform the Repair Procedure.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi Lads and Ladies, here's one you may find interesting... My dealer called me early in the week (out of the blue) and said that I need to bring the GC in ASAP to have a rapid response radio update before anymore warranty work will be accepted... Apparently this is on orders from CJD...

We have had a large number of warranty jobs carried out on the car so maybe CJD have a focus on our vehicle in terms of warranty claims... Sounds like the dealer may be having a tough time getting reimbursed for some recent warranty work we had done. Who knows, I guess I'll find out more tomorrow.

How did I know you would post this?

Take a closer look at the recall list on recall.gov.au for Chrysler and then come back to me with the exact number of recalls that your particular JGC was in for.

From the article:

"Recalls are a sign a manufacturer takes the safety of its customers incredibly seriously," he says

I agree, as I've said before I prefer buying a product that is backed up by the manufacturer, as opposed to some products where the manufacturer avoids fixing things, and even covers up incidents to avoid having to perform recalls.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

So what is a "recall"?

Found this definition via google:

"An auto recall occurs when a manufacturer (or the NHTSA) determines that a car model (or several models) has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal safety standard. When this happens, the automaker will alert owners to the problem and usually offer a free repair."

I have had my JGC for just over a year now and have never received any advice from Jeep Australia about any recalls. True, during some services or warranty repairs, some updates have been done but I have not been advised of any safety or other concerns.

Has anyone actually had notification from Jeep Australia about a recall requesting they take their car back to a dealer?
