Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Got my letter from Jeep today about the P64 recall. The vehicle was at the dealer for the first service 2 weeks ago so it's pretty disappointing that they (a) weren't aware of it or (b) were aware and couldn't be bothered.

With the iphones you should be able to receive the text message through uconnect and view it etc (although as someone said it can be hit and miss - mine usually works) but you cant send one back through uconnect.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I had a call from the dealer to have the modified rear shocker mounts fitted. Although the knocking sound has disappeared since the shockers were replaced 6 months ago, the mounts were on back order and recommended so that the noise doesn't return. Anyway, I thought I'd let you know that it is worth getting these fitted. What I have noticed is that the rear ride height is slightly higher and the Jeep's ride is even more poised over small bumps and undulations on the road. A worthwhile improvement.

So that is it now. All the bugs the car had from new have now been ironed out. Everything works as it should and it is a very nice drive.

Have a happy new year everyone.

Glad you had a win Chooke. I have had a loss on 31/12/14. The limp mode blocked filter 100% came up again . Was meant to be fixed in March. Now waiting without a vehicle until jeep people return from holiday. Maybe 5th January. Seems to be blocked every 15000kms roughly. 170kms on truck to Dubbo. Now the wait is on for repairs and bullshit.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi,

Anyone interested in a spare Key FOB for a MY14 JGC, I am selling mine for $200. I do not know how much a new one is but I am thinking it is probably around $500. You will need to get it coded to your JGC. It has never been used and will never get used again. My JGC was in an accident December last year, insurance decided to write it off. The damage was in access of 45K. My wife and i were ok, biggest concern was the Missus, she is pregnant but all checked out ok at RBWH.

Some guy decided he was getting too impatient at an intersection and decided to pull out in font of us.

I miss my Jeep. But i won't buy another right now, going to wait for the new design whenever that happens.

With all the help around the forum here you probably do not even need to go the dealer to get it coded, probably DIY.

PM me if anyone is interested.

Thanks.

Dealer required from memory of those that did the remote start installs.

Just before new years... that's tough. For what it's worth, all the recurring issues I had with the DPF was only fixed when the dealer replaced the whole unit. I'd be insisting they do the same.

Thats a shame! I hope it gets fixed for you quickly, I would be rather unhappy to have that occur again, to say the least! I had it occur once at about 6k, now on 21k and so far so good.

I just did a road trip in the GC 3.0 diesel over Christmas, drove from Brisbane down to Vic, along Great Ocean Road to Adelaide, then back to Brisbane through Parkes/Dubbo. Car performed flawlessly, great on fuel consumption, comfortable(Well, as comfortable as a car can be for 10 hours). Clocked 5500kms in 10 days all up.

Just had it in for a service at Cricks Mt Gravatt. Service, 4 software updates, rear shock mount replacement all took 2.5 hours. Very impressed. Washed the car too! Highly recommended if anyone is looking for a decent service centre. Bruce is the manager there and is very approachable and looks after his customers well
