It was interesting to compare them to my GC Limited. In my humble opinion the jeep wins hands down, power on both vehicles was noticeably down and I think the fit and finish on the Jeep is better too. Ride comfort was slightly rougher but still acceptable. As to price both are in the 48 k range and this is with similar features to the Jeep Limited, leather, GPS, Reversing Camera etc.
Overall not bad vehicles but the Jeep is definitely worth the extra cost.
I did enjoy driving our GC into the dealers yards and have them enquiring as to how we liked our Jeep, told em great 10 out of 10.

, I got my MY14 Laredo for $52 Drive away, my dealer still has some at that price. Thats only $4k more Chalk & Cheese. I went down that path too.

Mind you I sat in a SRT8 this morning when I dropped mine off to have the rear 12v plug sorted.

I think either one or both of these for Mike Manley, hit him with both addresses.

Yes Colorado / 7 has this one A 428 : A 428 DOHC: innovative 4 cylinder engine - VM Motori
same engine is in the Wrangler (de-rated) and also the earlier KK Cherokee.

Isuzu use their own branded engine of course. 4JJ1-TCX

This ones is in the JGC A 630 : A 630 DOHC: V6 Motors Engine Euro5 emission 250 CV - VM Motori

Interesting: Looking at the torque at only 1000-1200revs. JGC has slightly less
Ties in when the discussion earlier today about the acceleration being sluggish just off idle and then giving a surge of torque thereafter.

2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

G'day All, my first post. I own along with the bank a Grand Cherokee Overland build date the sticker saids May 2014. It's got a few issues which I hope to have resolved this coming service 20,000k.

I hope by joining here to learn from your experiences and become a little more educated in the life of a Jeep owner.

I live in Western Sydney

One question I pose to the group, does anyone have a lead, details of who I can contact about the date this car came off the assembly line, the ship it sailed on as well as date and the dealer it was delivered too in Australia from the USA side?

I look forward to our future interactions.

Have a great day.

Regards

The USA vehicles have a label with all the details including the time of manufacture Month/Day/Hour (MDH) so you could tell if your car was a good one (built on a Wednesday) or a dud one (built on a Friday afternoon or Monday morning).
We don't get that label, only the compliance plate which is fitted in Aus after it leaves the bond store from the port.

Mr SNUKE's would build date 09/2013 but with AUS compliance label 11/2013.
It's an "MY14" which production started in march 2013. - see page 1 of this thread

About 2 months between Built label month and compliance plate month.

Mine is 7/2014 AUS compliance (but it sat around in a lot until i bought it in November).
I would guess the factory build was in 05/2015 (possibly late Apr, perhaps early June).

Yours with 5/2014 AUS plate guessing March?. Getting the build sheet is the only way to know the exact date.

There is likely a couple updates for your vehicle "TSB" or a warranty update "RRT". Specifically for the export ones
eg.
TSB 18-019-14a (RRT 14-104) if its a diesel
TSB 08-023-14a - for a radio update

No, that is simply called a MY15 Summit with Jeep Aus Marketing applied, all the "extras" are simply standard upgrades that MY15 got.
