Cole is owned by westfarmer who also owns bunnings, etc. But IAG is ultimately behind cole insurance.

$500+ saving is bloody tempting as i just renewed the policy with NRMA in mid-Jan. So i checked product review website, 98% of customers who provided their reviews recommended to steer away from cole insurance because they were 'burned' when lodging claims despite cheap premium. Appararently, its call centres handling claims are based somewhere in overseas. Unlike NRMA, claim process is a walk in the park baed on my personal experience. Perhaps thats why lower overhead costs make a huge difference in premium?

Hi guys, new jeep owner here, bought from northern jeep in vic, traveled from tassie to pick it up, it's a 2014 my14 limited in white 3.6, happy so far but I have a question, while washing the car I noticed some rust/different chrome bit where the passenger side rear door meets the last window? The right side seems to be fine but this side has rust/ just a different colour to the rest of the car? Ill attach some photos so you guys can judge? What can I do about this?

You hit the nail on the head. When making a claim, you get what you pay for.

What can you do? Either live with it, or take it back.

I can't take it back to the dealer as Im in tasmania at the moment, should've paid closer attention in show room but was running out of time to catch ferry back.

Not sure what dealer would say if I mention but I doubt they will try replace/fix.

Take it to the dealer in Tassie. If it's a warranty issue they will cover it.

Use a chrome polish like Bluejob, it should do the job.

Limited white
I bought my JGC14 in Sydney and returned home to Hobart. I'm very happy with Eurocentral/Hobart Jeep's response to every warranty request so far. In the past have avoided them like the plague with my Land rovers. Just food for thought. Have only heard good things about Greg Crick up north, too. PM for any further details.

You should be able to warranty it. I would not polish it as it appears from the photos to be an issue with the trim piece and the application or thickness of the chrome coating.
Polishing might only make it worse.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Thanks for input guys, I'll take it in to my local dealer tomorrow to see what they can do, the dealer I bought it from told me it looked fine and to use windex to remove it.. Like I havent tried.. Just havent tried the real chrome polisher stuff!

Also I was going through some options in the menu and on the oil section it reads " Oil hasnt been reset since 64500kms, what does that mean?

I wouldn't consider Coles insurance mainly because of their wanky "little red quote" commercials with tossers driving around an office in cardboard cars. Drives me nuts.
