Speaking of which is Stockton Beach worth a visit? Thinking of doing a day trip there.
Stockton is worth a visit however its slowly being closed off to the public

I have been in contact with Geoff (who has filed the submission) and he is aware that the KL is capable of this - the only Chrysler vehicle currently in Aust that has this functionality (that we know of - refer to my edit).

Whilst the submission does make specific reference to the 300, it can only bode well (if successful) for the WK2 of which Geoff is fully aware.

Editing to add: I have asked before if any owners of an MY15 GC has this functionality enabled. No one has responded. Could you please if you own an MY15 Grand confirm or otherwise, if Nav via VR works.
2015 GC allows Nav via VR.

Doesn't work very well for the addresses I nominated (or maybe its my voice ) but definitely finds POIs fine.

I use two stage process - first say "Navigation"...this takes me to Nav if I am somewhere else. Second say "Find address......" or "Find nearest....".

Mine is an Overland CRD and Uconnect version 14.29.09 and also allows input of address while moving.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Thank you Fibble. That's great to know.

The problem that MY14 WK2 owners have, is that it was advertised as a feature but it never worked. MY14 KL owners don't have the same comeback because no reference was ever made of it in the KL brochure but not so for the Grand.

Can you provide a quick test procedure? One that you know doesn't work, but is meant to?

I generally don't use the VR in my 2015 GC, so I wouldn't know.

Snakeman - it's going to work if you have an MY15 GC (well it should according to Fibble's post).

- Press the VR button on the steering wheel and say 'Navigate to... (xyz street address, suburb, NSW).

I have found with the KL that sometimes if I don't give it 'New South Wales', it comes back with random line numbers for same or similar street names all over Aust.

If we give this command however on the MY14 GC the response back from 'Jeep Girl' is - (and I quote) - ' I'm sorry, Speech Destination Entry is not possible for this country'.

Before talking, Need to wait for the beep after pressing the VR button. Something I often don't, and I use it all the time!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

That is the shift one I wanted now superseded, with the bonus of ECO off.

I have these stored as in my Notes app for easy refernce
The two I really want

21-012-15 - Flash: Transmission Shift Enhancements & ECO off

08-071-14 - Flash: Park Assist Enhancement

And the 3rd just because

08-084-14 - Audio turn instructions do not pronounce the Street Names correctly

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Is it me and my computer (PC) or is it happening with other members too. My PC operates OK with all other sites but when i access this site it immediately slows down, unstable, jerky, the tower starts to grind away and generally a pain in the arse. (only the puter is a PITA ) Has only just started happening over the past few weeks. Anyone else experiencing these symptoms? :-(
