67HR,

The Late Paul Terry must have had some exciting rides in his Cessna Citation. 900 metres(2950ft) is a tight take off for a Citation.

The nominated take off distance for a Citation at sea level is 3,450ft (1,052 metres)

The landing distance is OK at 2078ft (633 metres).

Maybe he had a jump jet take off ramp at the end of the runway

Bluey

Cessna Citation II Performance

Or a cliff facing the predominate Easterly ??

There you go, I believed the written propaganda, no hanger at the home but he had one at the local airport, its going back a few years now Bluey but he died learning to fly a small chopper.

A very generous man, He once picked up a young guy (in his Roller) hitchhiking on the outskirts of town. The kid thought he was made, until he turned into the airport, the kid saying "I wanted to go to Perth" as the back door of the hanger went up the Citation was sitting there and he said "we;re taking that"
He got a buzz out of things like that.

You beat me to it, hymer. 990m would be VERY tight indeed for the Crustacean/Slowtation/Mutation.
The Citation also has an unique bird-strike problem.
It keeps getting hit from behind

Robinson helo's? No way I would ride in one of those.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

AM Radio has developed a high pitched whine in lower frequencies here in Melbourne. This has only just started to happen over the past 10 days.

Is it the area in Melbourne the cause (interference) because I live 5 minutes from Moorabbin airport. Hasn't been a problem before in the 18 months Ive owned the Jeep.
FM is OK.
Version 14.25.5 in place.

The radio has always been a poor performer. Disappointing aspect of the Jeep GC.

Any other members experienced the problem?

Bluey

That's shocking, Bluey. The fact that you listen to AM radio that is

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I don't watch AM radio, so I dunno whether mine is affected. I have a DAB button now since the last upgrade, but of course it does nothing.

Typically the whine is caused by AC, such as the alternator. Buzzing is from the ignition leads (petrol).
I'd look into the alternator as the source of the problem.

Planes use VHF and being near an airport would have no effect. However, if you're near an airport radar you might get an intermittent buzz with each rotation of the antenna, but it's rare. As far as I know, Melbourne's terminal area radar sites are at Tulla, and the SSR sites are spread out miles away. Morabbin is a procedural airport and does not have a radar (far as I know).

I would be concerned if you did. Not exactly exciting viewing.
