I appreciate your opinions. Before buying my Grand Cherokee, I owned a Ssangyong Korando-diesel and had it installed a chip that I bought in italianspeed.eu
In addition to this chip deliver results he possessed four driving modes: fast, seep, spor and race with potentiometer. The big advantage is that you even puts and takes in five minutes. That's what I did when I took the dealership for warranty review. With Ssangyong I never had problems.
Now I was a little frightened by the GC for I heard comments or myths that there would be a central in GC that left recorded in memory any changes, so I posted this comment.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The GDE tune is due to be released in the next couple of months.
Had it on my WH Grand and it worked really well.

The WK2 GDE tune will also include a EGR blank which is a great seller.

Best thing about the GDE is that it comes with a tune box that plugs into the ECU, which means that you can remove the tune back to factory within minutes.

Cheers, Craig

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Be careful of a Tuner that writes to the ECU. Many ECU's maintain a log of updates. It could be that every time you load up your tune, it records an event. These can be seen by the service technician.

Ally Pally
Thank you so much for your guidance.
This is exactly the point. For this reason I am referring to confirm the real possibility that the ECU can accuse modifications.
I consulted friends and many say is possible to detect, others say this the italianspeed system, removing the connection there is no hypothesis of record changes. Contratitórios are guesses, that is the question. There is controversy.
But first of all once again like to thank your atenç] will.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi all. I was to pick up my JGC last week but was advised that all shipments from the USA are being quarantined due to some bug infestation. Has anyone heard anything about this? I've heard of the Jeep having at times "bugs" in the system but now literal bugs??

Hugs from me too!

Always wondered why they had to do so many updates. No amount of "Mortine" is going to get the BUGS out of my GC it seems!

Yep there is a stink bug plague in the USA, so anything imported from the USA has to be fumigated. It is affecting Jeep, BMW and Merc. Just do a google on stink bug and delayed cars

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

This is what I received form one of my freight forwarders in Feb

Hi all, heads up from Dept of Agricultural which will affect any ocean shipments moving from USA to AU where there will be a quarantine hold of up to 72 hours or so from arrival. This will take place until April 2015.

Due to the widespread occurrence of this pest in the United States, all specified break bulk and all containerised cargo arriving in Australia from 9 March 2015 from ALL REMAINING United States ports will be subject to the pre-shipment treatment requirements outlined above.

Please take note of these changes that will affect the import and shipping industry, including importers, forwarders and customs brokers associated with the importation of break bulk and containerized vehicles, machinery, automotive parts and tyres shipped from the United States.
While the department is taking every precaution to manage the risk posed by this and other pests, it relies on industry and the public to assist us by reporting any insect or other pest that may be of biosecurity concern.
If you see something that could be a Brown Marmorated Stink Bug, please report it to the See, Secure, Report Hotline on 1800 798 636.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

72 hours for the fumigation... should only add 2 to 3 weeks to the delivery.

Cheers,
Steve
