Yeah, I don't want to give up my IRS! Also I find it a bit odd that they have a big chrome badge saying "six speed auto" on it. I'm sure it's fine, but why would you sing that from the rooftops?

And even if it's amazing, I would give them a couple of years to iron out the bugs.

Very pleased most of you are happy with your vehicle.
Mine is now 18 month (#2) since delivery.

Hvac issues-- still continuing.
Transmission? /engine flat spot out of idle-- was fixed now returned.
Transmission shift selected and delay on EVIC of position for quite a few seconds-- still.
Engine clatter that was excessive (not normal for this diesel that is normally good)-- update improved but has returned on occasions being moderate but OK.
EVIC display puts up screens that happen to quickly to capture-- does not happen all the time, very strange.
Cruise control dropping out-- selector panel faulty and replaced all good.
Glow-plug light remaining on, cycling start button put it out-- has not re-occurred.
V/R cannot be used on media as it freezes the selection, Ok on Nav and Phone-- still.
Radio has no range, function and sounds OK but useless away from the city--still.
There are other minor build issues but they have only been making them for a short time it seems.

Great towing vehicle, plenty of power, fantastic fuel economy and very comfortable drive.

It does have IRS, as for the 6 speed. I am guessing it is the same or similar 6 speed ZF they have in the Falcon, and it is great.

It is however 100Nm down on torque.

From what I've read, it's a Watt's linkage. Not fully independent.

No doubt. Still a strange thing to make a chrome badge out of when your competitors have a bunch of extra cogs.

Yeah the everest is a solid rear axle. I'm sure the coil springs will make it a bit better than the ranger, but I don't expect it to be as refined as the Jeep, as is the way with most utes turned into SUVs. Also the ranger seems to have a flaw with its rear locking diff, it seems to give up when you need it. But maybe they will fix that.

Has anyone here ever taken a Jeep Dealer to the http://www.ncat.nsw.gov.au/ Tribunal (NSW)?

I'm probably going to log a case today i'm just curious if anyone had any hints/tips etc.

Absolutely amazing that we need administrative action to get the Dealers / Jeep to do what they are obligated to / any other brand does immediately and without even asking them to.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Don't know about taking a dealer to the tribunal, but there have been a few cases where an owner took Jeep Australia to the tribunal.... and won
One big case related to Navigation failures. As a result, JA issued free mapping upgrade to MY12's

Before you are able to progress through NCAT you have to be able to demonstrate genuine attempts to resolve your issue, giving reasonable opportunity for the dealer to resolve.

You need records of corro, phone calls etc. After this you should lodge a claim with DFT. If DFT are not successful in brokering a resolution for you THEN you can go down the NCAT path.

I believe there is are good guides on the process on the NCAT website.

What is your issue Snake?

NSW Fair Trading are the ones who advised me to go for NCAT after a non favourable response from the Jeep dealer, I suspect they have _many_ complaints.

I've mentioned before on the forum but warranty issues and damage caused by dealer negligence that they aren't fixing in a reasonable time frame. Been 6 months+ of going around in circles.

I'd go but bringing my Jeep as checked in luggage with Qantas would be difficult. Sigh...
