Yeah, I hear you... And agree. There was nothing on the market that fitted my requirements totally, but the SRT idea really got me interested... Even enough to put down a deposit.

My Hilux has had about $30k spent on it so far and is by no means a competitor for any GC at the traffic lights... But I'm confident it would outdo any of them in real offroading. 33s with lift and dual lockers tend to do that... But REAL offroaders have full chassis IMHO. I'll keep my Hilux until the new v6 td hits the streets in 2015.

As for the ex dealership manager and a bunch of mechanics, that is subjective.
Enough for me not to bet $91k.

I don't want to be a party pooper but how do you explain "Land Rover" running last behind Jeep?

Hi webber ,
Very keen to understand whether you ordered any additional options ? And to get a definitive list of what our overlands come std with. Can you assist ? Cheers Beggsy

MILOUS
I think I found the right tracking thread but could not find an Aussie Overland CRD on the tracking sheet. I am hoping to find one to prove to my dealer (who is trying to be helpful) that Aussie Overlands are being made and about to be shipped. He believes any Overlands in the system now would only be for "testing & press" use.

I love my 2011 Hilux too. Every rattle in it is so soothing to the ear. The bumpy ride helps put the baby to sleep, and that cheap plastic trim is unbeatable. I particularly love the fact that all the dials glow that 80's green. Makes a great fishing rig.

Thanks for the link.
It's still a bit like snake oil for me. There are very few specifics. i.e what constitutes a "problem". It's not that black and white for me, and I believe that most "problems" are minor and rectified under warranty during regular servicing.
Your call though mate. Good luck with the Toyota, they are a nice vehicle.

Go to the first page of this forum and look at the list under Overland 5.7 hemi V8. We get all that on the CRD diesel plus some of the things listed on the Summit specs (which we are not getting now) like Advanced Warning/Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot & Cross path Detection, Forward Collision warning.
My understanding is that the Overland will not get the Adaptive headlights which is a real shame.
