This is for USB source.

And of course they will ditch that stupid foot park brake for a dashboard mounted one. Of all my gripes about the car, this is the one that bugs me the most.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Aren't they doing something about the park brake with the MY16?

edit: Electronic parking brake (EPB) with Safe Hold Console-lever electronic parking brake supplants conventional pull-handle/push-pedal system; can be activated while driving (pull up switch and hold); can be released automatically by engaging forward or reverse gears with driver buckled in and door closed; also features Safe Hold, which stops the vehicle using the motor on caliper (MOC) at each rear wheel if driver unlatches seat belt and opens door without placing vehicle in park.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

A lift up button on the transmission tunnel would be nice. This arrangement is very intuitive in the Beamer, for me anyway.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Regarding the information from Benn0... I'd really prefer the pedal was deleted and a proper foot rest fitted. Having what sounds like a supplementary park brake system is only half a solution.

OMG the inter-locks would be quite an effort for Jeep. They can't even get ECO mode to stay OFF let alone achieve this.

I agree GMWK2. A small footrest like something below would be nice. If we were to also ask for Lane Assist to be installed, then along with the already installed ACC and a Radio that can't be turned off, we could then switch to 2CH or ABC National Radio (especially on Parliament Day) and then have a snooze while you're driving and arrive at the destination all relaxed!

I read it that way at first too, but it says "supplant", so I'm guessing that means removing the foot brake. Or Milous got the description wrong.....

This is the same system as what is on the KL. It's very good.
