Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Pretty happy with the Yokohamas. There free replacement offer is well worth it, i had one tyre get a massive puncture through the side at Newnes and they replaced with a new one no issues.
Bought another two so i have 6 wheels and tyres now.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

[QUOTE=Gforce;1194818]Need some advice please, I am having some problems with the GC pulling to the left, I had a wheel alignment done at the 30k service, but if anything it is a little worse. I have to hold the wheel with constant pressure to stay on track and it get a little tiring on long trips, tyres look ok, no uneven wear. Any one else experiencing this problem?

I have attached a pic of the wheel alignment details that worked for me. I the print out page of the final result also, but I will need to copy it and write over top to make it display here. Will post it shortly.

GMWK2, the new sandgrabba mats I brought have a little in built foot rest on the left hand side. Have a look at the right hand mat, left hand side at the top.

Has any anybody replaced their 18" tyres and what did you buy ?? I have been watching the tyre thread but haven't had much final info.

Yep, at 40k the Kumho's front left needed replacing due to alignment issues. I reckon I had another 10 K left on the others. Decided to replace with a full set of Bridgestone D697s. Heading out on some gravel holidays in the next 12 months (added rockslides for protection as well). I don't find them noisy on the blacktop, but I'm back for another check on the alignment (with the TSB info) under warranty.

Same as Butts. Swapped the Kumho's out a bit earlier though at the 35k mark for Bridgestone D697s. Not noisy at all - very happy with them.

Same problem. Drifts to the left. No uneven tyre wear. 30,000km. To be fair the service guys I am using continue to try everything and are committed to get it right. 4 attempts so far.... Everything is in spec including the TSB issued on the left drift issue. No help to you but will watch this thread with interest.

The specs are far too loose, will definitely need a couple of iterations to get it perfect.

Go to a proper suspension shop, regular tyre shop would have to get lucky to get it right imo.

Thanks for the info, GC is booked at a steering specialist on mon, he has struck this problem before and said that due to lack of castor adjustment the Jeep would be hard to fix, he also said that this is a typical problem with vehicles designed for RH drive, some suppliers make kits to fit to the vehicle to fix this problem, but unfortunately nothing is available for our Jeep's (yet).
Anyhow he said he will see if he can 'tweek' the settings for me, just have to see if this helps.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The guy doesn't know the Jeep (which does have castor/camber adjustment) and has already started with the BS.
