Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Has anybody played around with exhaust yet.
I'm keen to replace from about under the backseat with stainless pipe & mufflers, mainly for a bit of sound. Not real loud just a purr mainly when you put the foot down (so a fair bit of the time). I was assured there won't be any droning in the cab.
My main concern is would the change affect the DPF, the DPF won't be touched and the new pipe will attached well after.
I cant see how it would be affected but I thought I might ask before the work is done rather than after.
(I must be getting old, normally would just do it and worry about
consequences later).

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Came across this today - a diesel pump with an adjustable flow-rate switch. Increases the flow from the normal rate. Are these new? (Or maybe we have just not chanced across them yet?). Like it a lot.

I guess this would be to accommodate trucks with huge tanks, as opposed to passenger vehicles with narrow fuel spouts.

Yes it would benefit trucks Mozzie and it certainly filled the Jeep up in half the time as well which was great.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I was suggesting that the higher flow rate may not suit cars (splashback). I will not be the guinea pig, as mine is petrol

Crash test vehicle, look at the marks on the tyres and holes for test gear.

Pity the dummy is not included. Always wanted one of those to fill the passenger seat when I drive around.
