Hi Adrian,

Cheers thanks for that. Looks like it is that part.
Now all I have to do figure out how to fit that back.
Not even sure if its broken and cannot be fitted back in.

Many Thanks
Gabriel

Another customer for Chief Products by the look of that.

What were Jeep designers thinking when they came up with that piece of junk.

Gcquest.

Please refer to yellow arrow on attached. It should be attached to the bottom of the radiator/oil cooler. The piece clips in from behind from the back forwards.

Looks like there should be a couple of vertical locating, locking pins that go in, but without dismantling my car cannot say.

Regards

Hi Milous, I still have problems with my GC Overland some 12 months since delivery. There must be some way of finding out from when the vehicle disembarked who and where the vehicle was transported to in the first instance. Can you assist please.

Regards

Madmel

Hi Adrian,

Thanks again. I believe I got it sorted. Seems like a weird thing to have there. I upload photos this evening. Cheers.

Looking at your posts I see you requested tracking info, no doubt Milous gave you that. Looking at your other thread, you want to know what happened once docked at Port Kembla.
You car was taken to a PrixCar in Minto. They take a week or two to do some checks (car has 4 wheels, glass in windows, you know technical things) before it is sent to the dealer who then do pre-delivery.
PrixCars will have nothing to do with your problems, unless they drove it into something.

Actually, they can do all the pre delivery work a dealer normally does, but no real dealer would as it would cost more than having their own staff do it.

Exactly what issues are you having?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi Snuke, thanks for your reply. I have some concerns apart from the issues I am having with UConnect, brakes, rattle in roof to name a few but I have some very strong indicators that this was a demo model. Which can account for some of the things that I note about the cars condition.

Basically all I am looking for is to see what dealer initially received the car.

I appreciate your assistance and look forward to your reply.

Regards

Madmel

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Your tracking details show the date the car docked, it is usually 2-3 weeks later the dealers has it for you.
How many km did it have on it when you received it? From memory mine had 12km, some have more, some have less but it should't be too high.

Why don't you list your issues in detail here and maybe user can help let you know what the options are.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Snuke thanks again for your reply. My issue is that beside the things that have been wrong with the vehicle is that I believe the car had been used for whatever brief time as a demo. You know what it's like when you pick up a new car you are totally absorbed in the moment but here's a couple of things that set me thinking. There is no k's in the contract of sale. There was damage to the gear stick, a piece of metal that cut my wife's hand open. Where was the pre delivery checks? When I was being given a brief run down it now sends the bells going off the salesman while going through the odometer went "oh" and quickly changed the setting. I noticed some wear in the boot of the carpet. The mat on the drivers side was curled under so much that I had to lay a weight on the mat to right it. That's apart from the other things UConnect, rattle in roof, steering required re-alignment I was told because it requires this every time you go off road. The brakes have squealed from day one on and off. It was dust. Really I just had it service, turned the corner and you guessed it brake and squeal. The list goes on. Oil showed poor from last service. I was told that a number of GC had this problem, did they replace the issue no, it suddenly resolved. The replacement UConnect is worse than the original. Thanks for your help Snuke

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Is there an Australian Owners Manual for a 2015 JGC available on line?
I've looked but can't find one. I know WK2Jeeps has the US documentation.

I had one for our 2012 and found I referred to that more than digging in the glovebox for the paper one.
We pick up our new 2015 next week so I'm looking to fill in the space in between.

John
