I wouldn't have thought so. Being extremely low power low range transmitters I'd have thought reception of each sender only works within each wheel well and thus how the car knows which signal us for which wheel.

Otherwise doing a routine tyre rotation would cause all end of chaos

Yep, there is no need to match them per wheel, after 10 mins of driving they sync up again in position.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Wondering if there is a difference between the Laredo sensors and the limited and Overland sensors. Remember that the Laredo does not have individual tyre pressure readouts - just a single warning light.

Again, I doubt there is a difference and the tyre dude was probably being over cautious.

Do they plan on stripping the tyres to do a rotation?

As does my Blackhawk, when I Swapped to 18's the valves went in no order, when I jumped in the car the pressures where all over place and within 2 k down the road they had worked out what they were doing and reset themselves.

Interesting article from last week. Parts from China a possibility...

Always encouraging to see FCA are working on improving things - but man, it's taking some time.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

It would be nice if they pushed the diesel service interval out further and put a fixed price service schedule into place. A great car, now fix the after sales support!

Thanks for the info, I like the comment 'perceived high parts prices and slow delivery'
My first oil filter cost me $169! more than a diesel Mac truck filter, or a Rolls Royce. I still have the receipt.
Not a good introduction to the Jeep brand.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I am at dealer at the moment for service and address the following issues:

1. Back left window does not wind down.

Dealer says we need to order a new regulator which will take a couple of weeks,

2. Dash leather is lifting and is full of wrinkles.

Dealer says that they have taken the picture and will send to Jeep for approval. Once approved it will take a few weeks to get the new dash.

3. Driver side seat is discolouring. It has ruined 2 of my business shirts.

Dealer says that discolouring of the leather is not covered under warranty. They can put leather protection on but I will have to pay for it. Ironically, I paid $1600 for leather protection when I purchased the car. It was done by the same dealer.

Once again I am extremely upset and thinking of selling this piece of crap and going back to trusty X5.
