I have a 7yo and 5yo, no motion sickness, but the 7yo just went from booster to none, and she struggles to see out the window, which isn't so good for motion sickness.
I've got the steel spring suspension, think the springs are from a ball point pen they are so soft. Gives a beautiful ride which impressed me when I test drove the GC, but now i'm paying for it and have to drive like Miss Daisy hehe

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Well we are back from our Sydney holiday the GC performed perfectly the trip was from Bribie Island to Sydney Olympic Park, we went down via the Pacific Hwy and back by the New England.
The trip down took 13hrs and the fuel use was 7.2 L per 100. There were many hold ups due to roadworks. Coming home via the New England was supposed to be longer but we made it in 12.5 hrs (this is travelling time via the Jeep's computer) and the fuel consumption was 6.9 L per 100. I am not sure why the difference in fuel used, maybe due to the trip down was with 3 people and luggage and as one was living in Sydney we came home with 2 persons on board.

Complaints I have two, the GPS badly needs updating, twice on the Pacific the GPS had us driving through paddocks and on our way back the turn off on to the New England does't exist and also for some km's further on. This is unacceptable in our so called digital age, 2012 map and still no updates, thanks Chrysler...
Other complaint would be the front seats, I found after such a long trip the seat is too narrow and too firm, those side squabs do hurt the thighs after a long time behind the wheel, very much like typical Mercedes seating.
Apart from that, she purred along, what a great vehicle, buy another in a heartbeat.

Oh and I almost forgot, I had to park overnight in the Archery Car park as parking was non existent managed to pick up two tickets, one I never knew about and the other I got the message $216 gone from our spending money and I then had to park over a kilometre away in the street.
Too much available accommodation, too little parking available, poor planning here.

Never had an issue with the seats. Are you a larger person? Never ever trust the gps i only ever use it as a guide. Google maps is free, easy and reliable lol. There also was a tsb on gps antenna placement i also had mine replaced. Check next time you are driving how many satellites you have.

I found the seat base to be firmer and not as wide as my Nissan Patrol in which I clocked up over 400K, I guess you could call me a little on the large side at 100kg and 183cm tall. I also checked out my friends new Overlander and his seats are a little softer and wider. It's not a big deal as I only notice it on those long haul trips.
Thanks for the heads up on the GPS tsb.

Yeah, I have a 2014 limited too, and the seats are too firm. The wife insists on sheepskin covers to soften it a bit. We came from a 2006 landcruiser, which was much more comfortable for long trips.

I'm 80kg, 180cm tall.

They put different density foam in different models, I think the limited get the firmest, unless you option nappa leather.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Jeep to the rescue today - I pulled an F150 out of a grassy paddock at our local garden centre. A staff member had managed to get himself bogged. I always have my snatch strap in the car, so it came in handy today.

Thought they would offer me a free plant, but no....
