He absolutely had no idea and once I realised that I did not want to break the news to him....too late. Yeah, I know what you all say....buyer beware..but I am in retailing and I treat my customers the way I would like to be treated....and there is no way I could sell cars because I would just have to be honest and inform the customer of the new model and let them make an informed decision. You have to live with yourself and your ethics I suppose. How people can so easily take $80k off unsuspecting persons walking into the showroom I will never understand. Sorry, that's just me.
Back in Jan we saw the 13, Drove the 13, were told 6 week wait from order day. Looked at a few other cars, went back to dealer a 3 days later to get one, and he says, sorry all out of 13's in the spec we wanted. Said a 14 would be delivered late April, so we thought, sure its only an extra month. We'll get that. Here we all sit today..... nothing wrong with the 13, but the 14 is better on paper....

Dang.. That's pretty poor form!!! And no truer words, the truth is always the magic words even if its not what you wanted to hear

I've been lucky with very minimal problems on new cars to date .. the worst jeep horror stories don't even phase me now after owning one of those

Still got a Van... 05 T5, was good up till Nov 12, when at 180k it needed a new box. Other than that $6.5k fix, its ok. Still has the original battery too.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The good news is, I now have an E number for my GC Overland CRD (Cherry) and Milous has added it to the tracking. The bad news is it is D1 Status with no known build date. But the dealer must have a magic wand as they are still estimation delivery to me in June (this year).

To add insult to injury, the Dealer says it is too late to correct the order to get the Beige interior I ordered as it has already been built, (BS from Chrysler Australia), so according to them I am stuck with the incorrectly ordered black interior

Next step is to find out if the factory fitted tow bar has been included on the order, but I am not all that hopeful

Once an order hits "D1" it's too late to make changes.

The towbar will be fitted locally - not in the factory.

Seaweed, it is just NOT good enough. Discusting in fact. Nearly 80K for your 2nd best option. My dealer does not want me to keep bothering him with Jeep Garage news but I am paranoid now because I experienced the same problems but rejected the wrong colour combination. I have now been waiting 12 months for colours of my choice. And if its wrong again....what will they do about it. I think you now know the answer I will get.

$0 from Chrysler, I think they should hire me though! Don't give up on your purchase, buy what you are going to be the most happy with and comfortable with, that's what's most important for such a major purchase.
