Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Sure is with lots of dealer stock. In hindsite the air suspension is adaptive and this was a road show car that might have adapted to being on the back of a truck. They do their mid model update mid 2014 I was told but I am not an expert. For another 50 grand over jeep do get a similar car and one or 2 nice touches. that 50 k more for a similar car was the quantum of my frustration level with Chrysler. However I am happy with the response in the end from my dealer. I don't think up till now that the dealers knew any more than the rest of us, but they are starting to now.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Given I was prepared to pay 130 for a range rover to do the same job just to get out of this madness and have a car again, it was a win/win deal and consistent with what I was paying for the extras on the limited I ordered December 1 as a 13 at that time before I was caught in the factory no longer building them.

Inspection=repair? Not surprising. They can't even fix a sat nav they sell for $2,800 when you can get one from Aldi for $59! Heaven help us if it was something important or safety concerns.

Much rather spend money on sponsoring polo....gosh who figures out the Jeep priorities!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi All, Am a new member to this forum. It is an amazing wealth of information. Can personally say it has saved me from feeling sorry for myself later on as I was coming close to buying a JGC Overland current model. I thought it would not be worth the wait to get the MY14. This thread has convinced me otherwise. So in the very near future I plan on setting up a novated lease for one. Talked to the novated lease guy today about and will fill out the paper work tonight.

I do have a couple of questions though and I do apologise if it is the threads.

1) Have they released pricing yet?
2) Are dealers actually taking orders?

I am hoping that I could be driving one by Christmas, I hope this is not too optimistic.

Once again thanks for a fantastic forum.

Regards

Auscop

Yes they are taking orders and current pricing is subject to what ever you can get out of your dealer. I ordered an Overland CRD with the caveat of it costing no more than $1000 on the current list price with the current minimum specifications of the 2013 model (also subject to my lease company).

For example, ordered 10 April and mine was built last night. Whilst there will be a wait before it will arrive in Aus, it is anticipated here late June or early July. It has to pass customs, so if all goes well, I'll see it by August. So that makes it 4 months from order to delivery (let's hope).

Regards

Butts_Oz, Thanks for the info. I am going to be going through Platinum Direct Finance and they pride themselves of getting good deals. Not that I expect too much since demand will be pretty high. However fingers crossed. The delivery times you quoted are great. Better than expected.

Thanks again

Just be aware that most Finance or Lease Plan companies require vehicle information provided by a manufacturer. As Jeep Aus is yet to release this info, I've gone direct to a dealer and when the vehicle arrives, I'll then take all the info to my Lease Plan with pre-arranged agreements. I'm not sure any finance company can quote prices for a vehicle that officially has not been released.
