That's good news with the CRD's on the way. It is a real puzzle how Chrysler Australia state they are not releasing E numbers and yet some customers are able to get them.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

If anyone gets word that the CRD Overland WILL have Adaptive headlights would you please post what you know. When I spoke to Chrysler Australia my contact could not tell me. It is not mentioned on the spec sheet on page 1 of this thread by Milous. However, the Chrysler contact did state that it is quite possible because the Chrysler 300 is equipped with Adaptive headlights. It would be a real bonus if they are fitted to our Overlands.

My build sheet for my Overland has no mention of Adaptive headlights. All I can see is that we get Automatic, Bi-Xenon HID, Auto High Beam & LED Daytime Running Headlamps.

Webber, did they advise when to expect your E number? Could it be that the vehicle is already built and on the way ?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

We have it confirmed that only the SRT will have the adaptive headlights. It is only available in the USA in the Summit and not an options on the Overland. This means for the moment we will not get it.

Don't think they do. My build sheet doesn't have them. Why would you want them anyway, I think they are as useless as automatic headlights. Good driving lights do a much better job.

I have been informed that it was in fact built some time ago. External colour and interior colour have been confirmed as correct. Their internal tracking had it on the wharf. Theoretically it should now be on the high seas.
HQ advise that although they can see it on their tracking they cannot release the E number because their policy is now not to release them (E numbers) because too much innaccurate information is being peddled around causing ill will.

Disappointing, but what can one do....other than buy an SRT. A mid 60's guy tearing around town pressing his launch button at each set of city lights.

Seems to me the only inaccurate info being peddled around is coming from Jeep AU. We know that the cars are on boats, yet they still deny knowing the spec's.

I just assumed they MUST be good because they put them on X5's. I've seen an x5 BMW video clip demonstrating the operation of them and naturally thought they would be an added safety feature....I go around corners soooo fast I thought they may assist.
