I have seen cars sit at Curtis Bay for a couple of weeks before getting onboard a ship.
However, I see yours has had the VIN delivered, which usually means it has been assigned to a ship. If you have a build shhet, you will see your VIN number. Now if you go to the shipping site, input your VIN, you will see if it shows up on a ship. Also, I find that the updates from Curtis Bay are sometimes a week out of date. Could even be that your car has already left port.

With the MY14 having more paintwork and less chrome, does anyone know if there is a Car-Bra or similar to suit for those long stony trips?

Hi All,
Thought you might be interested in an update. I ordered by Limited 10th April,
It was built and trasported to Curtis Bay, arriving there 4 week later. It left a few hours ago aboard the TAIKO and arrives in Port Kembla on 17th June.
Shipping IS happening, the OBERON left Curtis 15th April, Salome 1 st May TUGELA 5th May TAIKO (with my JC) today, and TAMESIS due to leave on 19th
Milous told us that ships would be leaving weekly, heres the proof.
Just another thought. Obviously hunderds of GC's are now flowing into Oz. We have some 50 dealers Australia wide, if they took 10 GC's each, that is just 500 cars. My point is, there seems to me to be STOCK, and plenty of it.
My final point. When in business, cashflow is KING. NOBODY can sit on stock for long, somebody up the line want his $s. I honestly believe we will see some REAL action soon. Just my thoughts, but hell, im happy

Where do I find such shipping information? I have my VIN, and the car reached Curtis Bay on 7 May. As a matter of interest, I ordered my car 22 March, but the order date shows as 17 April!

Whilst awaiting my car I have investigated "paint protection". The dealer has offerred this service at a price. There are lots of others in each city listed on the net under "car paint protection".
There are operators out their offerring a 3M film....it looks like "glad wrap" which is computer cut and then placed over your paintwork. They claim it is superior to the others with the liquids etc that are "buffed" on. They claim the 3M film is invisible but will stop paint chipping which the traditional paint protection will not. The stone chips are absorbed into the film. After many years the film can be peeled off and new film applied if you wish. They claim your paintwork remains original beneath the film.
If you run this 3M film past a dealer they will say it does not work but is that because they are trying to sell their additional paint protection services.

Capslobodam, this film might do the trick....but does anyone have experience or knowledge of this form of paint protection?
