Having said that, if they can make it as tight and snug fitting as in the picture it may be worth paying the extra $200 bucks. I am considering 3M film on stone strike areas (front, mirrors etc) and "Nano protection" (see the website Home|racewrap.com.au on remainder of vehicle and then possibly going "over the top" with the car bra for interstate trips or outback trips.....now don't laugh guys. I just want my car to stay looking nice.
At the end of the day one can purcase the 3M film for all stone affected areas, nano protection on remainder of car and the car bra still for less than what the dealers try to sell you with their car protection offers....any thoughts out there?

I beg to differ, our last vehicle had paint protection, that started at $900, but we had it thrown in at the very last minute (day of delivery) for $250. As I mentioned previously, I wouldn't get it again, as I felt it actually caused problems, not prevented them. That said, if you want a bra, get a bra, dont let anyone tell you otherwise. Besides, nobody likes saggy boobs......

One would think they would happily give them out to shut customers up and not see them again till they get a big fat bank cheque lol

Well I hope that mine in amongst them. Hell we ordered ours in September 2012 we were first told March. Then because the leasing company specified a 2013 build we HAD to have the new model. So after all this time I hope it does not disappoint. Seeing as no one has actually seen one in real life and it is a new platform.

Cptslobodan
I have tried to copy & paste the pic. It normally works but just wont let me do it now.
I have just clicked on the links shown on this page above though and it opens up the car bra pic and the paint detailer. I do not know what is going wrong at your end sorry.
Try clicking on them again at the top of this page and see how you go.

I agree $250 is probably all it is worth. But then again maybe you only got a $250 job which is why you sufferred problems. I have no idea. I cannot remember now but when I signed up for my MY12 more than a year ago I was offerred paint protection including interior and front side window tinting for over $2K. I cannot remember exact figure. When signing for the MY14 they do what good dealers do....introduce you to the car protection and extended insurance persons in the adjoining rooms to try and squeeze a few more dollars from you. For the MY14 I was offerred car protection (not upholstery) for the special price of $1498 which I have not accepted. I can get the M3 film to all front sections, nano paint protection to remainder of car and car bra for not much more. I have heard the stories about it being a waste of money. The problem is I remember my Statesman which has gone to God now which did have paint protection and it was excellent with water still beading off years and years later with duco like new. Because that paintwork was so good I am considering it again. However, I am hearing the warnings here which is why I am still sitting on the fence.

My friend is a panel beater and he has a number of problems when he gets cars with paint protection. He can't blend in colours because the protection coat works against the process of adhering. What I recommend... Buy the three step Mothers program $60, buy a cordless orbital buffer (Mothers Wax Attack) and maintain your vehicle.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The paint protection is a waste of money. Tell the Ming Mole to rack off, as they charge about 90% more than they should for essentially a polish. My mate does it for a BMW dealership,. He charges $280 and they charge $1500-3000 for it.
