Do you or anyone who has knowledge to view shipping details know if any Grand Cherokees are in fact on this boat to dock in Melbourne tomorrow. You would presume if JGC were offloaded in Brisbane and Newcastle that Melbourne will also benefit with some Jeeps. The sooner all dealers get some JGC the sooner they can do the official launch and we can all call in and view.

You could do an assumption/guess. For example, if you know a VIN from a car which is currently being shipped, you could substitute the engine number for an earlier one, and see if it is on the Oberon. In other words, get a car that is has already been assembled, then substite the last 6 digits with an earler number.

I've already been blown away with what others know and do....it's beyond me. Tracking ships, tracking cargo on ships, accessing actual video camera's on docks, yards and roads etc. Amazing how some of you are right into this. I'll just stay tuned on this forum for "breaking" news from the Guru's.

My maths may not be the best but the ships' draught has changed from 9.3 m, before unloading at Newcastle, to 9.1 m after unloading - a change of 200 cm. Now when you calculate the length (232m) x breadth (32m) of the Oberon x the displacement (0.2m), it roughly calculates to be about 1,484.8 tonnes lighter. Now divide this by say 2.2 tonnes per JGC, then it means that about 675 JGC were delivered to Newcastle. Is that consistent with our current intelligence reports?
You are right! Your maths isnt very good.

9.3m -9.1m = 0.2m or 20cm not 200cm.

As already stated, you can't apply current pricing to MY14 vehicles.
That aside, these are recommended retail prices, and as per all other retail prices, they are simply a recommendation, they are not legally enforceable.
A dealer can put whatever damn sticker price on them they please.
In fact it is illegal to make them enforceable in any way shape or form unless they are advertising & selling below cost.

I had compared states, but never post codes.
I see Castle Hill have a $0 delivery fee.
