Cheers Alleyoop.
Well I guess that matches what Milous says that they were only delivered to Brisbane and Melbourne.... Still not sure why... Welcome to the forum Alleyoop.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hello all,

I have finally ordered my MY14 JGC Limited with off road adventure package and quadra lift.

The message is a bit mixed with regards to diesel because the dealer at Albion told me that Australia is not ready for Eco diesel at the moment. So my JGC MY14 does not have a separate filler for that organic urea. Can someone please tell me that if Eco diesel is standard across MY14 JGC fitted with the diesel motor?

I am not fussed whether it is or isn't Eco Diesel but would like clarity on the conflicting information. Sorry cannot name the person i dealt with.
I am still waiting for my E number which, i hopefully should recieve within a few weeks.

I still have to post some pics up of my Laredo, hopefully i can take some pics soon, been quite busy with work lately.

Cheers
Ameet.

Not sure if this helps, but the info about the filter on my build says - Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).

Did anyone note the missing steering wheel? Definitely a copy from the States. You'd think they would actually advertise a RHD version for the Australian market.

Guys - these 4 Jeep 'blogs' are well hidden in their media section but each one of them ends with:
Quote:
"Are you ready to take a look at the new Grand Cherokee? Contact your local Jeep dealer today!"
Shouldn't we all be down at our local dealers 8.30am Monday to ask for a look?

Love the missing steering wheel - well picked up!

For initial shipments, they are leaving the AU steering wheels off at the plant (stored in box in cargo area). There is a temporary flat stick installed on the steering column to facilitate loading/unloading. Jeep AU wants to make sure NO ONE drives them before the official release.

Are you serious? How can someone drive one if it doesn't exist? I wish Jeep would get their story straight. They are really bad at lying.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

In the US car reviewers got to test drive these vehicles but had an embargo on releasing info. The first reviews being released just hours prior to the official release. I wonder if Aussie car reviewers will get to test drive these cars, in view of Milous' comments re no steering wheels. It will be interesting to see whether any Aussie reviews will hit the public arena just prior to or immediately following release. Here's hoping for an official release before the end of June....any odds on that?
