Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

l suppose having to deal with a grumpy fast approaching 'end of tether' impatient "l want my jeep now" kind of customer is going to be part of the steep learning curve on her career path, it's just the way that this has all been handled has been incredibly frustrating , maybe my expectations are too high re customer service, but given the amount of hard earned we are willing to invest in one of these vehicles it would just be nice to be treated a little more like grown ups who want simple answers to simple questions.

I had hoped that with the recent appointment of the new CEO in Jeep Australia that things would improve.

But alsis the evidence to date is that nothing has improved

Jeep Aust need to realize that it is we the Customers that build a brand and not the parent or head office

But it is very easy to destroy your customer base and in turn your brand

I love my Grand Cherokee i Hate the dealer the sales person and Jeep Australia, and would never buy a Jeep again until i see substantial improvement

The sales people have no idea
The dealers just don't care
Jeep australia seem to rule them both with fear and denial of any issues

Obviously you can launch a vehicle simply by delivering a few back ordered vehicles to a few customers. If the intel on this site is correct and no vehicles were off loaded in Sydney, you can bet that the Official Launch will not be until at least once more shipload has arrived.

" Hi All,

In the past days the interference of the “Jeep Garage” Forum has caused some clients to doubt the dealers they ordered their WK MY14 from.

Telling your customers the below might help you overcoming the wrong information “Jeep Garage” dishes out:

• They do not have access to any of the Vessel systems therefore cannot generate any correct information on which car might be on which Vessel
• Forums are great chat sites where everyone has an opinion, but in this case, none of the information posted comes from the manufacturer
• Forums do not build, import, compliance, transport, prepare or register vehicles.
• Regardless of where the clients vehicle are : NO vehicle will be made available to anyone before the release date and this is yet to be announced.

Kind regards,
Anne Tanner

No, it's a WK. The pre-2011 model was a WH in Australia, and WK in the US. The current model is a WK in both locations, so to avoid confusion it was unofficially nicknamed WK2 (coined by Milous IIRC).

Anne is still a douche though. The build sheet I got for my 13 was spot on. The shipping information was spot on (I even have photos of my car on the ship). The build tracking and ship tracking information from this forum was a hell of a lot more than I got from my dealer. I'd even foreseen the two month delay in delivery due to the retooling from MY12 to 13 before my dealer called, thanks to this forum.

Forums may not import, distribute, compliance, register, blah blah blah, but they provide a lot more info than those who do, and for no financial gain.

Wake up Jeep Australia. Don't get shitty because you want to keep the details of paying customers' orders secret and someone else is keeping them informed. If I'm paying 2/3 of my years wages on a product I want to know I'm getting what I paid for and when I'm getting it, so if you won't give me the info I'll sure as hell find it elsewhere.

I love my car, but unless the way Jeep operates in Australia changes significantly before my lease is up, I won't be buying another FCJD product.

Hi Studgun, not to bust your chops but wikipedia says otherwise and we all know how reliable Wikipedia is....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Grand_Cherokee

WK2 (2010–present)WK2

The current-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee went on sale in summer 2010 as a 2011 model.[54] It was unveiled at the 2009 New York Auto Show.[55] The fourth-generation Grand Cherokee retains its classic Jeep styling combined with a modern and sleek body style. The interior is luxurious, featuring leather trim and real wood accents, plus state-of-the-art[clarification needed] electronics options. The 2011 Grand Cherokee has won 30 awards for off-road capability, luxury, value, best-in-class, and safety, making it the most awarded SUV ever. Among the awards are: Top Safety Pick for 2011 from the IIHS, listed as a Consumers Digest Best Buy for 2011, Safest SUV in America by MSN Autos, and Truck of the Year for 2011 by The Detroit News.

Clearly someone's a bit miffed about customers actually having some information...

I would love nothing more to send a copy of this to jeep with my reply of 'laugh out loud' included ... Something tells me she isn't going to see the 2 year mark on yet another job with emails of this tone going out

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

My last 4 cars have been Toyotas and I am now considering changing to a Jeep GC MY14.

However, while the car appears to do everything I need, it is the attitude of Jeep Australia that concerns me and rants like this one from Anne do nothing to inspire confidence in me to change brands.

I can't even find a contact for Jeep Australia on their web site, only dealers, so they obviously want nothing to do with their customers.

Guys,

the same thing here in Europe / Switzerland!!!

The difference to you in Australia is, that our Import gives out the information, that Cars, which are ordered for customers, are already in the Bremer Hafen (Germany).

But the launch will be in July, so they keep back all Cars, because they don't wanna give out customer Cars before the launch.

Very nice, isn't it?

-Gigi

Wikipedia is wrong again. Look at your manual, look at the plate on your car, look at what Marlon_JB2 and Chevyboy who work at JNAP have said. It is a WK. WK2 is a nickname to distinguish it from the pre-2011 WK/WH.

You should see the service you get from MB. Even first class on a Qantas jet doesn't compare.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Wikipedia certainly is not all fact. It is written by volunteers. and can be edited by just about anyone. That scenario alone leads to misinformation.
Should be used only as a guide.
