It will remain there until the official release. This may mean that until there are enough GCs in AU for demonstrators and press vehicles, and some stock, we will not be seeing our vehicles. Obviously you can launch a vehicle simply by delivering a few back ordered vehicles to a few customers. If the intel on this site is correct and no vehicles were off loaded in Sydney, you can bet that the Official Launch will not be until at least once more shipload has arrived.

" Hi All,

In the past days the interference of the “Jeep Garage” Forum has caused some clients to doubt the dealers they ordered their WK MY14 from.

Telling your customers the below might help you overcoming the wrong information “Jeep Garage” dishes out:

• They do not have access to any of the Vessel systems therefore cannot generate any correct information on which car might be on which Vessel
• Forums are great chat sites where everyone has an opinion, but in this case, none of the information posted comes from the manufacturer
• Forums do not build, import, compliance, transport, prepare or register vehicles.
• Regardless of where the clients vehicle are : NO vehicle will be made available to anyone before the release date and this is yet to be announced.

Kind regards,
Anne Tanner

Hi Alan,

Nice piece of info. It looks like it was directed toward the dealer network.
I really like the was she says jeep garage interference. .... interference with what? The lies we are all being fed from a bunch of morons at Jeep AU HQ.

Yep, and just for the record, all Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep body codes consist of only 2 digits - in most cases they are letters (there are additional digits in the extended body codes, but they break down trim levels and such.)

You should see the service you get from MB
Except when your new MB (6 weeks old) dies in the middle of M5 Sydney traffic, goes into 'limp home mode' and they 'don't know' what's causing the issue and it has been back in the shop twice in the last two weeks.

Anyway, it doesn't matter - all vehicles will have issues. Just a close friend is maddened by MB at the moment. It's interesting though watching how MB handles it. Can I just say it appears, at this point to be similar to Chrysler Australia's approach. (Not sure whether to laugh or cry over that).

I love my car, but unless the way Jeep operates in Australia changes significantly before my lease is up, I won't be buying another FCJD product.
See the problem with the above, is that it penalises numerous people who put so much into the vehicle, ie: the JNAP staff like Chevyboy and also people like Milous who do care and there are probably many hundreds of other staff employed by Chrysler US who put in just as much effort.

What they (Chrysler US) need to do, is a complete overhaul of Chrysler Australia. They need to clean sweep the current team and bring in fresh media-savy/product-knowledgeable people who are not afraid to engage.

They could/should launch a new product/brand complimented by a new team

Okay, but I have to warn you I'm a 6'2" cop trained in hand to hand combat, so maybe we should just agree its a WK.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Fellow 2B JGC owners in Aussie......I received this email today and was not a happy camper.... Please read for those who were excited about their impending delivery once an E# was allocated!

Hi All,

Unfortunately the original nominated vehicle E5724826 has been deleted. It has been replaced with CC000082 – below. The car is at the Factory Vehicle Yard and will be here in August.

As soon as the model is released I will allocate the car to you.

Kind regards,
Anne

Yes, and that's unfortunate. They put a lot in and the result is a great product, but the lack of support and service behind the product is really disheartening and frustrating. I'm only 21 and this is my first brand new car, but I know that the way FCJD do business here is not right. Ford have treated me much better with my XR6, and I know other companies put a lot in and really back there products and that's what gets them a good reputation and return business. Everyone knows Jeep has a poor public image in Australia, and only Jeep can change that.

I can't even find a contact for Jeep Australia on their web site, only dealers, so they obviously want nothing to do with their customers.
I hear you A10-6. I hear you.

Don't let CJD management deter you from the Jeep. You're right in saying that the MY14 ticks all of the boxes. I don't like the way CJD is being run but then again, I don't like the way Australia is currently being run - but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else..... Maybe NZ

Did I say WK2?? How wrong was I. Of course it's only the WK.

The fact that you're a comando trained 6'2" cop and I'm an obese 5"6" has nothing to do with it at all.............

Wouldn't it be nice if CJD Australia actually "Cared" about there customers and there imported product end users. They really seem to believe that customer care is the dealers responsibility and not theirs. They really just seem only interested in importing and distributing a product as a business and that's all. The Jeeps might as well just be $50,000 microwaves.

Unfortunately, while they are selling plenty, they do not care about the end user, how they are treated, over servicing prescribed maintenance schedules, exorbitant parts and servicing costs. So, instead of carefully building on the momentum that the vehicle currently has with a view of long term sustainability, they are just burning their customers with disinterest and incompetence. In this day and age I find it incredible why this is left to continue. Few other companies would get away with that.

But as long as the sales figures keep increasing, they must think they are doing a great job, back pats all round. However, this will not continue forever. Their reputation and service/ owner costs will catch up with them eventually, and then they will be looking around wondering "What the f@&k happened?" The answer will be CJD Australia, that's what happened.

Great vehicles, shit company / presence here in Australia. To survive long term you need to be great at both.

"Wake Up".

Also, CJDA, underestimate the impact and influence of social media at your peril. Where do you think that many people get the information from when making a car buying decision? Internet and social media / forums like these. Many decisions are made before even setting foot inside a dealership. The decision at that time is often only from which dealer they will buy from.

Again, "Wake Up".

Looks like good news to me, your prior vehicle was still in D1 status, the new one was built last week and will arrive downunder before mid-July.

Milous, do you think we should be asking Anne if this information is right? She seems to know it all and has all the build and shipping information. We don't want to mislead people?
