Her information is accurate from what I see (allowing perhaps a couple weeks for customs clearance, etc., = August delivery).

G'day Milous,

You said the new one CC000082 was built last week? Do you have any info on your tracking page? If so, could you please send me a link?\
Cheers, Mike

Unfortunately, while they are selling plenty, they do not care about the end user, how they are treated, over servicing prescribed maintenance schedules, exorbitant parts and servicing costs. So, instead of carefully building on the momentum that the vehicle currently has with a view of long term sustainability, they are just burning their customers with disinterest and incompetence. In this day and age I find it incredible why this is left to continue. Few other companies would get away with that.

But as long as the sales figures keep increasing, they must think they are doing a great job, back pats all round. However, this will not continue forever. Their reputation and service/ owner costs will catch up with them eventually, and then they will be looking around wondering "What the f@&k happened?" The answer will be CJD Australia, that's what happened.

Great vehicles, shit company / presence here in Australia. To survive long term you need to be great at both.

"Wake Up".

Also, CJDA, underestimate the impact and influence of social media at your peril. Where do you think that many people get the information from when making a car buying decision? Internet and social media / forums like these. Many decisions are made before even setting foot inside a dealership. The decision at that time is often only from which dealer they will buy from.

Again, "Wake Up".
Social media is very powerful and up until today this was going to be my first Jeep purchase.
BTW I spoke to a Jeep dealer today and he has sited one in the US. I believe he was on holidays. He said it was great and makes the current model look old.
He also said that a petrol model will be available for demo in 2 weeks and the diesel the middle of July.
Looks like back to the LC 200 for me.
cheers

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Guys, there are two ways we can address any difficulties that we are currently having with CJD Australia.

One way is to complain amongst ourselves. That is a fine way to vent but produces no real change to our problems. This forum simply explains where the problems are coming from - which not a bad thing.

Another way is to go through the proper channels. I believe that CJD Australia may be privately owned and not a branch of the International brand. Dealerships can be bought and sold as well as well as being removed for poor sales or poor service. If we, the paying client, were to set up a petition with a list of our grievances and were to present it to Jeep Head Office in USA or wherever, then I believe we will then see action and a change in communication style.

We are all passionate for a vehicle we haven't driven but depend on the name and heritage of the Jeep brand. I believe that we need to do more than just whine amongst ourselves - I being one.

Your thoughts?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The worst thing for JeepAu is that there will be a silent majority that will come here and see the crap JeepAU are putting potential owners through. They will just read a few pages of this thread and say it may be a great car, but it is not worth the hassle. There are other choices for people and the worse we are treated the more likely people are to go with their other choice.
If JeepAU had 1/2 a brain, they would have a rep on here that will communicate with us and help sort out the long term grievances with items like the SatNav on the old models and lack of E numbers for the current orders. They can lead by example, rather than being dragged by necessity.

Think the chances of that happening are Bugger all. Jeep don't even comment or reply to posts on, or messages sent through their official Facebook page. Zip nada, nothing. WOFTAM..........

A demo model in 2 weeks. Well that is the closest thing to a firm date for launch that we have heard. Which dealer told you that? The message I got from the Sales Coordinator - Northern Region was that "NO vehicle will be made available to anyone before the release date and this is yet to be announced"
So if what you were told is true your dealer knows more than the Sales Coordinator a Jeep. Hope you dealer is right and it is only two weeks to launch.

I don't want to identify them but he volunteered the information without prompting, he asked me to come back for a test drive, so I will.
