FOUND THIS ON http://www.netcarshow.com/jeep/2014-cherokee/

Morocco interior is black with warm Moroccan Sun accent stitching, providing a contrast to the black. Morocco is available in cloth or leather and is a choice on all trim levels of the Cherokee.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

So I HAVE my new Jeep!
Well not exactly what I ordered ( deep cherry red CRD Limited with lux pack and off road pack ) but it is a great car!
I ordered the above as a 13 and got caught up in the 14 changeover without my knowledge at time of order. Very exciting except that delivery blew out from 4 months to 10 months ++++? , and it was held up in the factory for at least 6 weeks in inspection. Wen the dealer told me why and his best estimate of current delivery ( and after test dring range rover sport) I walked out the door into his yard and bought a silver 13 Laredo crd standard build that has almost everything I wanted . I does have a flapper tailgate, it doesn't have the dodgy jeep nav system so many have complained about, it doesn't have the 18 inch wheels or rear LSD I wanted , but I am fitting the under body guarding I wanted , and I'm still 10 grand better off and I have a car. Ad it's silver - aaahh , for a red one!
If anyone finds a way to en masse talk directly to Chrysler US about the performance of Chrysler Australia in this rollout I'm in.
I have also learnt NEVER to buy a new car you can't see, the dealer doesn't have a spec for, in colours you don't know, from dealers who don't know, and where the underworld tracking system is the only way you can find out about your car, and where the car doesn't even get ordered by Chrysler Australia till 2.7 months after you pay your deposit.
HOWEVER, my 13 is a GREAT car, and I like the styling better than the 14, especially the silver rail on the doors which is already preventing shopping trolley bumps. The new one has taken that away along with the flapper gate.

What an excellent tactic to get buyers to clear out the old stock cluttering up the yards to make way for the 2014 model. Hope your dealer gave you a massive discount for f&#king you about for all that time. The ONLY thing Jeep have going for them at the moment is that they are selling a bargain product. Nissan Patrols starting at 86k, Range Rover Sports are 110k make the Grand Cherokee a value for money. However I don't think that gives dealers and CJ Au the right to treat us like beggars. Glad to hear you like your vehicle now you finally have it.

I contacted them about 2 months back and got no reply at all.
I sent a please explain to Anne Tanner Sales Coordinator - Northern Region today, have to wait and see if I get a reply.

I would like to float an idea to members. Individually we represent $60,70,80k to Jeep but combined we represent millions. I would like to suggest a National Cancel Jeep Orders Day. Set up a FB page, plus use this forum and if our questions to Jeep are not answered within 30 days. Everyone with a vehicle on back order cancels it on the same day. We should request
1. Evidence that our orders have been placed
2. Approximate date for the intended launch of the 2014
3. Release to customers of build progress and shipping details on each order upon request from customer or dealer.

Anybody have a view? Suggestions or modifications?

Alan

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I got a call from my dealer today who said as soon as he hears something he will let me know. He said he only got confirmation 30 minutes ago and was on the phone to me so I cannot complain about that. He stated my CRD Overland was on the boat. It will arrive in June and it IS the colour combination I ordered and does have the CD player. Still no E number though. His dealership has no GC left to sell now and needs these MY14's. He has no idea but would like to think, or possibly hope, that this MY14 just, and he means "JUST" might get released before the end of June because they need cars to sell. I think they are now just as desperate as we are to get our vehicles. Hopefully news of a formal release will be announced soon. Of course, Chrysler Australia are not going to announce anything until they know all dealers have some stock. At lease it was nice that I got that phone call....it would be nicer though to get that E number to send off to MILOUS.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

My guess is that they will now stop issuing E numbers, and instead issue an "internal" number, which will be useless for tracking, but give you "evidence" that an order has been accepted. Their Internal number will cross reference the E number. So E numbers will only be known to Jeep Aust and Jeep US.
